Zombie Minesweeper: What Story?
So I'm here to set the record straight and explain that for our first release of ZM we weren't completely off the wall with regards to the implied story of a "girl running through a zombie infested minefield gathering flowers..." WTF?
The problem is that we didn't actually FINISH the story or even START it for that matter...we simply threw up the game as is: girl collecting flowers for no apparent reason.
THE WHOLE TRUTH:
So the original (kongregate release) story idea was this: You are on the way to gather/deliver flowers to your parents grave. Suddenly there is a zombie apocalypse and it's only because of the love and devotion to your parents that you continue on your quest. When you finally arrive and place the hard earned flowers, your zombie parents reach up from their graves and proceed to chase you until you're caught, infected, and live happily ever as a zombie family!
See! There actually was a story after all...too bad it never made it in. Check out some of the comments on the Kong Forums regarding our 'lack of story'...pretty amusing :)
In Zombie Minesweeper - a love story, we promise to properly include players in the story...although we can't promise that there won't be the occasional raised eyebrow.
