Fun Facts: In addition to spraying a strong-smelling liquid, the zorilla can play dead as a secondary defense. It is not a skunk (Mephitidae), but rather belongs to the related mustelid family. They are closely related to grisons, which I posted about last time!

Habitat: Savannah, scrubland, and tropical dry forest
Strengths:
Like skunks, they spray a foul-smelling and often blinding liquid from their behinds when threatened
Sharp teeth and claws used for comsuming birds, small mammals, lizards, eggs, and insects
Fair swimmers and climbers
Weaknesses:
Conspicuous coloring
Small in size; up to 70 cm (24–28 in) in length, including the tails, and weighing up to 1.3 kg (2.9 lb)
