The pressing gaze set upon me- burns a hole on the side of my face in its unwillingness to reciprocate a look.
There are legions of men who live in the corner of my eye.

The pressing gaze set upon me- burns a hole on the side of my face in its unwillingness to reciprocate a look.
There are legions of men who live in the corner of my eye.
Reason prompts a painful lesson: there are things you will never heal from. When the gushing stops and the scabbing henceforth follows. When scarring seals a crevice and the body welcomes a new feature. Memory locks another door.
When alone finally, I find myself half way agony, half way melancholy. The flowers too surrender something of themselves into the night. I want the moon to be proud of me. I am receding wave succumbing to the teasing light.
History is painful on the skin. When it settles layers deep. Away, away from the gawker’s gaze. Free me of this frail shell. Again, I’ve made a mess of me. Uphill against Reason I sheepishly confess I fell in love with my wounds -- with blood’s aftertaste and the acidity of sun-dried tears.
The way rain breaks into leaves and disrupts a growing seed. So I too am most beautiful when I am breaking.
A poem for fall
Autumnal Sundays bring nostalgia beneath the winds. East bound, chill filled with melancholy. Rose-tinted clouds adorn the atmosphere where languishing sunsets announce impending torments. The silent moon ushers in reflections of distant worlds long before darkness engulfs. The weeping trees are swollen with the murmurs of lovers muttered at their roots. Their parting leaves crushed on the ground like blisters whose drippings fall through deathly twigs.
There is a feeling all around of hope that has fallen without a sound. The imminent halt of a cycle which claimed unaccompanied souls through its tunnels. And the body anticipates the burning – the ritual of ridding the flesh of all unwanted guests. The titaness of dawn scatters new life upon mortals under a withering sky. Let us beg mercy of her supple, tender hands.
It is fall, the hours of morning go by so quickly and the prelude of the afternoon finds me suspended in a longing - inside the cold, darkened cavity I have dug for myself eluding tremors. I swing my hand into the wind wishing to appease this yearning – a violent swoosh returns it empty. Outside the names of past lovers swirl in the air interspersed in the dying summer sky. It will be hard exhaling through the memories, mother warns inhaled grief is never released.
And I am at a standstill, awaiting the bounty of all my prayers. My thoughts aligned at the periphery of fading fears. Lay my rotting bones amongst the trembling wetlands, between the chanting sycamores. Lower my head between the dampened shrubs before rains enfold. Autumn comes not with color but with the washing of tones which have died along the way. This is what is left. This is what remains. Soon ubiquitous winter nothingness will reign.
The moon – defenseless, with no atmosphere and full of craters – is still beautiful
Placeless girl in a foreign city
She hates the double tone of her lips so she wears very dark shades to hide the ethnicity lovers in the park hold each other tight, they never notice this her skin is embalmed with the color of housekeepers she's shortened the last name to conceal the tracks beneath the feet; the path of forefathers in deserted roads, the bloodied route that led her here. She avoids her reflection in stationed car windows her self esteem is a rusted relic rehashing her mother's murmurs in the backside of her mind, unceasing. placeless girl in a foreign city your accent is a mutilated outcry serenading the befouled solitude that encapsulates your body in a darkened room. You evade eye contact with strangers, fearful they might peak into the past life where papa was a sewage dweller and mama sold pastries on the street; there was never enough to eat, a pot of beans was meant to last a week. placeless girl in a foreign city you've burned your scalp to tame the wild forest mane atop your head, everyone has a home to go to, you've got to brave out your dislocation or be dead
Some concept stuff from the third page. It started out just basic dragon mutant and quickly went so her entire lower half is just a stomach with legs.
The weather is changing here around this time like everywhere else but unlike anywhere else, remnants of summer linger beneath branches like hoarded steam under a titillating pot's top. No one is wondering why the heat never fully leaves but rather dissipates only to regroup some time ahead with seemingly invigorated force. Perhaps it is also the same of hearts which have been drenched who spring to the clouds for respite but are pulled back under by grief's arms as a reminder of the axiomatic. So I too find myself arguing with your memory about what failed and what could have been as if the words enunciated post scriptum could ever make a difference. But I am learning to release grudges which have been preserved in the sourness of the unsaid. And if nature is allowed paradoxes god shall concede. This too is permissible of me.
