He finished and ran towards the open window to try and answer her question. Friendship starts with honesty! He climbed through their window to explore while the team was out doing business and saw some food by the tv table on the couch. He came back and jumped on the couch again sitting next to emerald.

She continued to eat her cereal, a lurking eye keeping itself on the small dog just to make sure he didn't pee on anything or something. He was running back and forth, and Emerald merely dismissed it as him being hyper. But then she did a double take, realizing the window was open. "Heeey! That's how you got in here! The window. Huh. I guess I underestimated you, little guy." She was surprised at the dog's intelligence. "...Well, might as well be civil with you while you're under my roof. What's your name, anyway?" Not that she expected an actual response.
