@zeezatanna
It was official, she’d lost control. Well, Valentina would be kidding herself if she ever said her powers had ever been totally under her control— but this was different, this was bad. Usually she’d get some sort of warning, envy or maybe even wrath will whisper something in her ear then just like that the visions would start. There was none of that now, the visions were becoming more persistent, sometimes they’d last so long Val wasn’t even sure it was still the same day. She’d be sitting in a coffee shop, crossing the street, in the shower— it didn’t matter to them anymore. It was all a power play. They were sending out a message: we are in control.
Valentina had moved around so much, heard so many whispers of magic, that it didn’t take long for her to hear Zatanna’s name yet again. She knew that whatever this was, whatever magic (if there was any) involved in her powers was getting stronger, and even now Valentina couldn’t take it. This was all too much, she needed help.
Maybe it was a bad idea, leaning against the wall of the building as she was, waiting for Zatanna to come out of her dressing room. But what would have been the alternative? Sending a letter? With the ban, something like that would’ve just been considered a trap. When a figure opened the door, Valentina straightened up, thankful for the light on her as she spoke. “Zatanna, right? That was some show in there!”
