"Happy birthday Alan!" Mary says hugging him, "Here for you." Mary gives him a box wrapped in a spacey themed paper. "I heard you really want this space video game so I may have bought it and also bought you an interactive 'Galaxies horizons and outer space horizon' poster. Enjoy!"

At the call of his name, Alan turned and grinned seeing who was there. “Hi Mary!” Alan returned the hug with gusto, giving Mary an appreciative smile as he accepted the box. “Aw, gosh...” he said, rubbing the back of his neck. “Thanks so much! That’s awesome! I will, totally!”

A kitty looks up at Virgil with her head tilted. She has a collar in her mouth that says "Mary". Her poofy tail wiggles a little doing a "S" and she meows at him, but it's muffled.

A cat? Virgil looked down at the feline, more than a little confused. Where on earth had a cat come from? And why was there a cat holding a collar in it’s mouth? Perplexed, Virgil sunk down onto one knee to have a closer look. “Well, hey there... Where did you come from?” he murmured, speaking to, he thought, himself.

Dark eyebrows furrowed when he read the name on the collar. “Mary...?”

Mary hugs Virg tightly. Her day has been a stressful one and the only person who can give good big bear hugs that are very protective and soothing from what she remembers is Virgil. She remained in dead silence as she gently rests her head on his fluffy lumberjack coat.

It’s not often he sees or speaks to Mary, so he’s taken a little by surprise when she appears, suddenly hugging him without a single word. Blinking in surprise, he opens his mouth to say something, but in the end he closes it and says nothing at all. He doesn’t break the silence, since it seems words isn’t what she needs right now. He just folds his strong arms around her slender shoulders, holding her close. Lightly resting his chin atop the crown of her head, he’ll hide her away from whatever trouble and stresses the world has caused her for however long she needs.

"Hi uh brother? Scott told me to come ask you if we can adopt a vampire cat..." She rubs her neck with a shy smile.

“Uh, hey Mary,” he replies and arches a brow. Why on earth did Scott think he was the one to ask? “A... what? Uh. I’ve never even heard of a vampire cat...” Virgil rubs his chin in thought. “I donno if having a cat here would be a good idea, but, well, uh... ...Why don’t you ask John?”

"Brother..." She whines, "I'm booooooooooooooored."

“Uh? Why are you bored? Why not go, I don’t know, play some video games or something?” he suggests, wondering why she’s asking him.

"Psst Alan... We should like... Prank Scotty. What do you say?"

“Uh... Isn’t Scott away on a rescue right now?” Alan says, trying to decide how exactly to react to this suggestion. Sometimes he’s up for harmless pranks, but given how busy his brothers have all been lately, he’s kinda hesitant.

"Hi Alan!" Mary smiles brightly,"Don't mind your adopted little sister. I just want to welcome you and your Mun home (aka tumblr). If you need anything feel free to talk to me, okay bro?"

“It’s gonna take some getting used to… But, uh, thanks!” he says, returning her smile with a bright grin of his own.
