What would you do if, hypothetically speaking, you were dead?

I know what I would do. Party, that’s what. So we’re going to.

For ten days straight, from June 25th all the way up to the fourth of July you, and anyone who chooses to join you, are going to party like it’s 1999 because I am Mary-Jane and I’m saying you will.

It goes like this: for ten whole days in a row, you and your teammates will get complete butchered.

Doesn’t sound like fun? Well, then you’re wrong!

There will be five teams. Each team will get a different prompt every day for seven days. For this prompt, you will either write, draw, sing, act, do whatever crazy artsy thing you can think of, and submit it at the end of the day. The last three days will be a surprise! A fun one. These will all have to be Sherlock-related, since, hey, it’s a Sherlock-themed party.

At the end of each day, you will see if your team has made the most amount of submissions of all of them.

The fun part of this?

You’ll get to meet people and make cool things! Also, you’ll have me to guide you through it!

Does that not sound absolutely brilliant?

I figured it would.

You can enter yourself simply by sending your name, email address and username (and of course show a willingness to participate) to this place. You have until Juny 21st (22nd, 12AM GMT, 21st 7PM EST) to enter yourself in this wonderful bloodbath.

Did I say bloodbath? Yes I did. It is a competition, after all. But there’s always room for fun. Nobody can say Ted Bundy didn’t have mad fun slaughtering people!

The five teams will be:

Team Coroner (white)

Team Consulting Criminal (red)

Team Detective Inspector (yellow)

Team Forensic Scientist (black)

Team Government Official (orange)

I picked the best colour combo ever, right?

The announcing of the teams and the team chats (where you meet up to get to know your team members and discuss prompts) will be on the 23rd (11AM EST, 4PM GMT). That’s one-and-a-half day after submissions close and before the party starts.

I have enjoyed this way more than I though I would. I never really wrote anything before but now I constantly want to write more fics so, thank you for that. I am sorry I wasn't really around for the chats :/ I have had so little time and time zones suck! But anyway...

I am already missing not having prompts to write for daily. You have all beenbrilliant.

Your art and songs and fics and everything have been absolutely amazing. I knew we were a pretty damn awesome fandom but you guys are just a whole now level of talent and all round amazingness. Well done everyone!

This week was superfun but also super-exhausting. I'm still in school so I've had finals to worry about and also my sleep schedule was very slightly fucked (I've been catching up over the weekend; apparently I slept 14 hours on Friday, and 15 last night. wtf self)

lol that part is insignificant though, what really matters is that I want to congratulate everybody here for being awesome and for making my (and hopefully everybody else's) shernanigans experience super fun! I don't think I've ever enjoyed time spent with people I'd never met on the internet as much as I have for the past two weeks. Not to mention, all the beautiful fanart, fanfic, songs, cosplays, etc that we've all created :D

Furthermore, I, for one, am most definitely taking part in the next group project shanzay has planned, and you should too!! I hope to see familiar faces. :D

Yeah, guess I should post, too. I'm pretty much exhausted from this week and had spent most of my quick doodle time during the week. I might have more time tomorrow but I'm not so sure, considering since my parents are home it's like, let's do things! Not to mention I haven't even had the time to watch the Great Mouse Detective and the disc has been sitting on our kitchen table since Thursday. ;_;

Sooooo, unfortunately guys, I won't be able to submit things for the bonus prompt. This makes me sad. Rehearsals for concerts and shows, plus work meetings and the added surprise of my sister getting emergency knee surgery, has left me with no time to work on anything. Sorry my lovely Stamfordites.

I would like to add though, that I am incredibly proud of all the work we submitted this past week, and I am so happy to have gotten the chance to "meet" all of you. We may not have the most number of submissions, but we definitely made some quality stuff. :D Hopefully we can remain great tumblr friends and chat from time to time. I am always just a message away! 1. Obscure Connections - Look closely between the similarities/objects not popularly established in comparisons of both adaptations, and make those similarities/objects the central focus of your work. - 3 points

If you do a crossover of sorts with the Granada series ALONG WITH the above prompt, the total points you will gain will be - 4 points

Example submission should look either like:

2. Granada Character - Bring back a character from the Granada series into BBC Sherlock’s world other than Holmes or Watson from a modernized perspective and have him/her interact with 2 of BBC Sherlock’s characters. - 3 points

If you juxtapose themes/ideas to emphasize a conflict/contrast (in art, if you use chiaroscuro to achieve a similar effect) ALONG WITH the above prompt #2, your total for that submission will be - 5 points.

Example submission should look either like:

3. Role Reversal - Compare/Contrast the personality of Granada!Holmes and BBC!Sherlock. Place one in another’s universe OR vice versa to distinguish a differentiation decision than the former has made. (In other words, change the outcome of some element already present in one universe by one Holmes, with the other Holmes. Replace one with the other. Distinguish the changed decision. You get the point. <— ahaha pun. Okay I’ll stop. ) - 3 points.

Example should look like:

4. Character Switch - Replace ANOTHER character’s position besides Holmes or Watson from one universe into another and show either a contrast or similarity when placed in a same situation. It can be from Granada!verse to BBC!verse or vice versa. This doesn’t have to include prompt #3. This is a separate prompt for - 2 points.

Example should look like:

You all have more than one day to come up with these and can collaborate on things, should you like, on the combined chat mentioned above.

You can also send in random submissions if you’d like, though they wouldn’t count for anything. But I’ll still publish them. ^^

Yay! =D And they seem to be worth a lot of points, and I know our position in the table isn't all that important compared to the quality of the stuff that's been produced (because gosh guys, it really is amazing) but still!
