“Is it… Always recording?” He asks, resting his head on Lawrence’s shoulder, the bird still on his finger. When he moves to rub his wrists, the bird flies back off to the couch; last night, Joel had a short vision. Handcuffs, hard and heavy, wrapping around his wrists, but oddly enough, only one of them. He has no idea what it meant, and he pinches the bridge of his nose with a pained expression as he remembers it.

“I like it,” Joel admits after a second, kissing Larr’s cheek with a soft smile. His eyes go back to the bags, and his eyebrows pop back up. “I’m just, just curious. Why do you have other bags?… What did you do?”

The “birds” are the next thing to catch Joel’s attention, and he wanders away from Lawrence to squat by them, looking at them with quizzical eyes. He takes one hand from his knees, running it through his long hair before reaching out for the “bird” that didn’t chirp.

“What is it?” He asks, finally turning back to Lawrence and tilting his head like a confused dog. Joel doesn’t walk back over to his boyfriend just yet, still too enraptured by these little robot birds. Holding out his figner, the unnamed bird jumps onto it, and Joel gives a little laugh. He rises to his full height, staring at the little robot on his finger as he walks back over to Lawrence. “Why?”

“They’re recording devices. Their eyes are cameras and they have microphones in their beaks." He sets the gifts down and picks up Kaneki. "They have an AI that allows them to understand some basic commands and you can teach them new ones. If you are ever on patrol or stuck in trouble, they will be able to record what is going on. Or get me." Lawrence grins and plants a gentle kiss on his boyfriend's head. "Because god forbid you get into a fight and have no way of contacting me to save you."

He gives a soft chuckle and watches Joel and his new friend interact. The two of them seem so...oddly perfect. Joel’s bird was programmed to be a little calmer/easier to control than his own. Then again Lawrence made the damned things so he already knew how they worked. “Sorry if they’re weird...I thought being able to record your visions immediately after having one would help. You always seem so stressed out afterwards and now you don’t have to worry about forgetting something.”

Joel’s spread out on his kitchen floor in nothing but a pair of basketball shorts, because that’s what you do in the hot Austin summers when the air conditioning just isn’t cooling you off enough. Besides, his kitchen floor is cozy. Sue him.

When he hears a knock at the door, he just yells, telling Lawrence to let himself in. He slowly gets up from the tile floor, knees cracking as he rises to his full height and crosses his apartment, hugging Larr. An eyebrow pops at the presents, and Joel points at them with a long finger. “What are…. What are those?”

Lawrence hums as he strolls up the stairs to Joel's apartment. There is a rather large bag in his arms as well as a few...friends following along behind him. If anyone asked they are the newest form of drone/automated toy. He knocks on the door and excitedly opens it to see the boyfriend standing there in a nice pair of shorts.

"Huh?, oh. These are your gifts for Father's day, dear." Lawrence grins and strolls into the room, mechanical birds following behind him. They were sleek and black with little cameras for eyes. It was worth the stress and exhaustion to finally get them right. The two sparrows soared in behind Lawrence and perched themselves on Joel's couch. "I got you some new friends...well, one new friend. Kaneki is mine." Said bird gives a soft, mechanical chirp. "I also got you some other stuff in here." He jostled the bag in his arms excitedly.

With that, Lawrence hopped into his car and headed for his boyfriend’s. He had a few gifts sitting in the passenger’s side seat just waiting to be given to the dad of the day.

Adam closed the door, cringing when it shut loudly, before going to his desk to get something he forgot. He saw the sleeping larr, and curiously poked him on his side. “ Yo, larr you still asleep.” He said as he hovered over the other man.

Lawrence tried his best to pretend to be asleep until Adam poked him. "I was, until a certain someone poked me." He cracked an eye open and feigned anger for a moment before laughing. Groping for his glasses that were tossed somewhere, he looked to his friend all the while. "So, what brings you back here?"

OG-Haus

Lawrence sighed and lounged on the couch. It seemed like Let’s Play Live was just yesterday...because it was. He still has some red marks/sores from where the leather suit rubbed against him. He had no idea how he managed to convince the other FH guys to let him do that but it was so worth it. Now all he wanted to do was take a nap, maybe drink and then have a quiet evening in with the boyfriend. That was cut short when the door to the office was, he hoped accidentally but who really knew around here, was slammed shut. He refused to look up (on principle) and pretended to be asleep.

Geoff glanced over at the computer, then back at Lawrence. He shrugged in turn. “I’m bored as dicks, dude. I have a meeting later today but I’ve got nothing going on in between then.” He watched the metal with interest as Lawrence played with it. It was cool as hell, honestly; all his powers existed in his shitty head.

“I was gonna ask if you have to edit anything, but then again you are the boss. If you are anything like Adam you pretend that it means you don’t have to edit and can just tell others to...haha.” He chuckles and whistles softly, his attention slowly flittering between Geoff and the metal. “Sorry I’m not more entertaining, though. I only get fun when I have some drinks in me.”

Geoff was always interested in seeing other people use their powers, especially those with physical powers. He was just visiting, but he had gotten very bored of watching everyone work and be productive when he had nothing to get done. So he was going to hassle up some trouble. “What’re you up to?” It was a lame ass intro, sure, but some conversation never hurt anyone.

Staring at Geoff for a moment, Lawrence just shrugged and sighed. “Waiting for this video to render and for Bruce’s game footage to transfer over. Shit is taking forever, I swear. You?” He reclined back into his chair and took a deep breath. The metal that was covering the floor vibrated the smallest bit and lifted back into their original positions, dancing through Lawrence’s fingers again.

Lawrence sighed as the metal whizzed around his fingers. He was waiting for a video to render and another to finish downloading from the guys’ workstations so he was down for the count right now. Humming came from his lips as he watched the bits and bobs fly around in no real pattern. That was until someone bumped into him and the pieces dropped to the ground as his attention was drawn elsewhere. With a sigh he turned to the culprit. “Is there something I can help you with?”
