Sisterhood of Coding;Hoorah!
The stereotype of “The All Girls School” has a new meaning. Hackbright Academy has taken a stand against the gender war gap in technology. The academy located in California is offering a ten week crash course. This novice to programmer in course defeats the odds.  The course is designed to educate future female programmers to the world of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and more. Woman across the country are leaving their jobs and moving to Silicon Valley with hopes to expand their knowledge and their wallets.
It’s a known fact that the computer science field has been dominated by men.  So, this fact about the academy would floor women everywhere. The Hackbright Academy was founded by men, David J. Phillips and Christian Fernandez.  These two men believe in the code, not the gender. Their vision has invoked the inner geek in a growing number of women.  The academy gives a chance for these women to conquer the dream of having a career in the technology realm.
As part of the 10 week crash course, an interesting component is addressed, the interview for the new job. This crucial obstacle in this line of work becomes a challenge of should I or should I not. You may have new found skills; however, can women overthrow the label that this is a man’s dominion? I think a woman’s touch is exactly what the market needs.  The sisterhood of coding is on the rise, the Diva’s of Code shouting hoorah!
That might send a spark in the bed room!

Hell Ya, I wanna think like Zuck
Facebook has become a modern way of life. I believe it falls in the category of Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner. It has managed to social engineer its way into everyone’s daily life. Facebook was an ingenious idea that took over the social status of the world. Now, it makes, breaks, or pokes relationships. Employees at work can’t help to peek at that home page. It’s addictive and in 3 years I’m sure the doctors will be bank rolling for the new syndrome diagnosis called Facebook Syndrome!.
Now being the tech girl, I have become fascinated with the man behind the curtain! Mr. Zuckerberg. In my personal opinion it is not his looks, it’s the way he used his product to change the world. His absorption of Steve Job and Bill Gates advice, he took the best of the best and incorporated their best attributes into his own behavior. His determination to “walk the line” was boosted his name and Facebook to the top.  Mark’s knowledge of coding and what the people wanted changed his life and ours! However, where did he learn the business principles to keep facebook where it is?
So being the tech laky I had to pre-order the book “Think Like Zuck” by Ekaterina Walter   It is my late Christmas present to myself.  I couldn’t help but fall into the nerd category as I was excited just to have it in my hands.  I’m surprised more people are not trying to tap into Zuck for information. For now, I’m going to check this book out and join Facebook AAA meetings! I’ll let you know if this book makes me want to think like Zuck!
It's a good thing technology has come a long way!
Technology dosent have to be ugly!
