Staff slings are great because they are both easy to use, and cheap to make, while increasing one's throw distance considerably. Additionaly, you can keep the sling portion in a pocket or backpack if you want to attach something else to the staff. Like a bindle...or a protest sign.

Just read an article on a study that was looking at which video games are most popular among trades students. Guess they've run the study a few times and pretty much always get Madden or FIFA or some other sports game (changes based on nationality). But in the most recent one they actually found that Elden Ring won out. Apparently this was found to be especially true of carpentry students; Who,further more, self reported as being particularlly fond of decks builds.
