Here’s the Fancy Craftsman, by request (it will also be part of my full save for Newlyn Hills a.k.a. Newcrest). This is a large, fairly detailed house so be prepared for very expensive bills. XD There are four bedrooms and a ridiculous number of bathrooms, so your Sims shouldn’t have to pee-waddle too far to relieve themselves. One of the bedrooms is a mother-in-law suite with its own closet, bathroom, and painting room. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom as well. The other two bedrooms are decorated for a child (who is a Voidcritter fan) and a teen girl (who likes photography and movies).

The basement houses a home theater-style room and an additional bathroom. There’s a swanky home office on the main floor and a more casual one (for chess and homework) upstairs, as well as a craft room for woodworking, pumpkin-carving, etc. Outdoors your Sims can relax in the hot tub or sit around the firepit. There are also a few spots for planting harvestables.

How to easily reduce TS4 loading times - an overview

The scientist that I am loves to optimize stuff and why not reduce TS4 loading times, especially when there is lots of CC? (of course there is)

By following the steps below I could reduce loading times of my game with 31 GB CC to 4 minutes.

1 Delete broken CC, TS2/TS3 files, duplicates

Download the Mod Conflict Detector from MTS and run it every time you get new CC.

2 Batch rename your packages in order to remove special characters

Do this only with files that remain in your mods folder. You don’t have to do it with files that you are going to merge. Do not rename game mods that affect game play directly (other than clothing, hair, etc.).

Download the bulk rename utility 

Remove clamps, spaces and other special characters (# ; , @ & ?) from your package names. 

Type in any special character in the replace field and leave the other one empty. Mark the packages you want to rename and click “rename”. Done! 

3 Merge packages 

Download Sims4studio (you have to register first, but you should consider getting Sims4Studio anyway!). Select Tools -> Merge Packages and just drag and drop the packages you want to merge into one single file. Backup your individual packages. 

You should ALWAYS backup your individual files before merging. I put CC files of max. 400 mb (max. 200 files) in one folder and place it on my external harddrive and then merge what is in it. By doing so I keep track of which files are merged together. What is merged can’t be unmerged again. Don’t merge too many files/too large files together or the chance of losing files will increase. Sims4Studio will tell you when it’s finished and whether it failed to merge some of the packages. You have to place these in your game individually then.  

If one CC is incompatible after a game update, you can delete it from the individual files and merge again :)

Don’t merge game mods that affect game play directly (other than hair, clothes, etc.) as these require regular updates!

Don’t fear merging! It is fast and easy and it’s impact on loading times is HUGE!

4 Enjoy your game

Roll a random number  (Here is a generator if you need one), for every category you’re participating in (if you want to skip one, feel free). Then make the sim! If you get something you’ve already done, reroll, unless you’ve done everything in that category already.

Freezer Bunny Accessories - Happy Easter! When I was making a hair accessory I had the sudden desire for a freezer bunny necklace (because I love the freezer bunny) similar to the skull necklace. Of course, a necklace leads to matching earrings, and since I like variety, 2 types of earrings. Then I felt it needed to be available for little girls as well, so this set is for all child to elder females!

Animal Beanies - I liked the animal hat for kids… but I didn’t like how it removed the hair and basically screamed “I’m a helmet with beanie stretched over me” lol. I turned it into a normal beanie and added a few more colors. It’s available for both male and females, child through elder.
