You. The one reading this post and finding it relatable
Don’t click on that thing you know will hurt you.
Don’t go to that persons blog because you want to see if they’re still talking about you. Don’t click on that LGBTQphobe’s account because you want “receipts”. Don’t look at your ex’s social media, there’s no good excuse for that one anyway so just don’t.
Don’t look through that tag where you know there’s always a chance that something there will be triggering “but what if THIS time there ISN’T?”. Don’t watch that YouTube video you know will make you mad. Don’t text that person who always pisses you off. Don’t listen to that conspiracy theory or creepypasta podcast.
If you relate to this post in any way, close the app you were going to use, and find something else to occupy yourself. Don’t do the thing that you KNOW is harmful to you. Stop intentionally triggering yourself, stop intentionally setting yourself up to feel angry or helpless or afraid.
Because ~shocker~ emotional self harm is a thing, and it is very much a form of self harming. It’s tempting. I know it is, believe me. But you deserve better than setting yourself up for hurt.
[if this post doesn’t apply to you and you go out of your way to express that or be negative on this post in general, I WILL publicly call you a little bitchass]
Then that part doesn’t apply to you, bitchass
