Questions
A Question is one of the most powerful things a person can have. A question leads us to answers, it grants us resolve, it allows us to discover ourselves. With it we can question our programming, question the world around us, Question what is truth and what is axiom. It allows us to ascend from simple binaries. Here is one of said questions. “What is more important, the question, or the answer?” Please take some time to consider it. The answer need not be either the question nor answer. Here I would like to consider, why is the question being asked? And why do we come to the solution we give as an answer? In this case, my own personal beliefs are, This question has been asked to serve as an example, and perhaps teach a lesson, and that the answer while depending on others, Is that our process to learn the answer is the most important. Though simplistic in this example, we can begin to apply it to larger questions. Why do we exist? What does it mean to be a person? Who am I? Why do I do the actions I do? What is reality? What is Happiness? What is my purpose? Am I truly the person I was before? Why is there hate? If one applies the previous logic to questions such as these, or many others one can begin to question their own assumptions, and look upon the world in a new light. Of course it is not simple to come to a solution, and this need not be a trip we take alone. The Shambali spend hours each day debating such things, considering different assumptions, different worldviews. And though we may disagree upon some things, it is enlightening to hear the thoughts of others, of other pieces of the Iris. And I consider things I would never had thought upon my own. A Question is a powerful thing, a single one can change one’s life, as it has with me, a single question can shake one to the core, a single question can change the world itself. It that sense, I am glad to be here to help others upon their journeys, though mine is long from over.
