“Meat buns! Yes! Tao wants meat buns!-” she giggled almost maniacally, as a drop of hunger-induced drool dripped on the tablecloth. Her braids fell to her knees as her red optics tilted up in frustration, an almost inaudible meow leaving her lips as she picked up her meat with the foreign fork and delicately ate it. As she mentioned shopping, the exposed cat’s ears flipped.
“Wait a sec-Tao’s broke! Meow!” The blonde whimpered, putting a paw-er, hand-to her hidden lips in a sad manner. “Tao’s not gonna be able to pay, Bunny lady. I’m sorry, meow…” She whispered, but her tail quivered as she spoke up again, in a uncharacteristically small mew.
“Can Tao put on her regular clothes, meow? Then we can be on our way, meow!” She perked up once more, a more fitting, toothy smile plastered itself on her shadowed face, though it was a playful, embarrassed smile.—
Rachel wasn’t sure why an abrupt wave of uncharacteristic kindness had washed over her. Perhaps it was rather nice to have a visitor who wasn’t trying to crush her bones or yap at her like a frustrating dog for once? Nevertheless, the blonde was enjoying herself more than she should and was very well aware of it. If this was going to be done, it was going to be done her way without much concern.
"You needn’t worry about anything cost-wise. Such matters are trivial for a noble such as myself. Let us just live in the moment, and find you something lovely to wear, yes?" She says, peering down at Tao’s other outfit for a split second before managing another reply "Certainly not. Wearing such extravagant attire to shop will not only draw unneeded attention, but be cumbersome to remove as well. Pack it with us and let us carry on." She says, abruptly motioning Nago toward her to shape into a parasol for their departure
"Let us leave, we are wasting necessary daylight."
