Because the website theme is built on tumblr, it harnesses the power of the massive, free, self-hosted, tumblr eco-system with hundreds of thousands of fans and followers blogging and re-blogging content every minute.
Q: I own my own Domain Name, can I use it?
A: Yes. If you already own it, using it on tumblr is free and it's pretty easy to do. After installing your theme, select "Use a custom domain name," found in tumblr's settings for your blog and follow the instructions.
Q: What's this about Bandcamp?
A: It's our most powerful integration… and our first crush :)
Combining Tumblr and Bandcamp is the original idea that got us started. While TumblCamp is a full-fledged, feature-rich website theme by itself, if you decide to connect your tumblr account to a free Bandcamp account, you can use your Bandcamp page as The Music page on your website. Then you can host, stream, and sell music and merch combinations right from your website. Pretty powerful.
Q: But what about SoundCloud?
A: No worries! TumblCamp automatically connects with Spotify and SoundCloud through Tumblr.
You can publish your SoundCloud tracks as audio posts, embed a soundcloud player in the footer of the website, and enable a link to your profile in the sidebar. You can even make The Music link in your navigation take users straight to your SoundCloud page, or build a custom page and embed your favorite SoundCloud tracks and playlists.
