@tvtvm // of all of the people thalia didn’t want to see, tatum was certainly at the top of the list. they weren’t life long enemies, or even had done something horrible to one another, no --- their parents had went on a date or two though. of course, nothing came of it, but that was the problem. neither her father nor tatum’s mother held hard feelings, they just weren’t a good match. but for the kids ? it was all about why their parents weren’t good enough for the other. at least for thalia, it was. she idolized her father despite his job and his lack of fathering, so she was always very defensive of him. this translated to the kwons. so, of all people thalia didn’t want to see, tatum was certainly at the top of the list. but life had other plans. ----- hardly watching where she was going, thalia smacked right into someone, drink sloshing out and wetting their shirt a bit. “ i’m so sorr--- oh, it’s you. ”

@melcnchoclia // “ a bonfire ? really, reese ? ” that’s the first thing thalia says when sees him for the first time that night. “ feels like we’re in some cliche indie movie --- although... ” she shouldn’t even get herself started. if she began talking about some off the wall theory like she always did, she wouldn’t be able to stop. “ --- it’s like the whole town is here, huh ? all, like, five of us rocky springs residents. ‘s quite a turn out. ” and maybe that was an exaggeration of just how small rocky springs was, the party too, but regardless. “ i can’t believe so many of us are at your beck and call, ahn. do all of these people know how lame you are --- and that you used to be like four foot nothing ? ”

@olvryu // after reese and olivia broke up, thalia hadn’t spoken to olivia much. it wasn’t like she disliked her or was upset over the break up ( olivia wasn’t the one who dumped reese after all ) --- more so that thalia didn’t know what to say. reese didn’t have some vendetta against an old friend talking to an ex either but thalia didn’t seem to be able to find the right words. they would only be walking on egg shells around each other if they tried to remain close, wouldn’t they ? but alas, the bonfire didn’t leave a lot of room for avoiding old friends and awkward situations. so there they were, stood next to each other near burning flames. “ the fire is kind of hot, huh ? ” and really ? ----- that was the best she could come up with ?

okay so ! thalia was born and raised in rocky springs. she’s literally lived in the little oregon town her entire life and honestly never left much ? she hasn’t ever been out of oregon let alone off the west coast. so she’s like [ journey vc ] just a small town girl ! her early life was pretty great ? her parents were very in love, happy and loved her a lot. they cared so much about her and intended to go on to have a big, loving family and give thalia lots of little siblings. but life had other plans ! when she was five her mother was killed in a hit and run on her way back home from visiting family in another small oregon down. they never caught the guy ! foreshadowing !

thalia’s father was now raising a small girl on his own. he did his best ? he loved her unconditionally, but the older she got the more she took care of him than he did her. he earned money as he continued his work as a detective ( being a detective was his dream job and her mother had always supported him so he didn’t give it up ), but save for that thalia handled things. she budgeted for them, did the grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, made sure the bills were payed on time — she was pretty much her own mom lmao ! her dad did his best like he really did love her ya know ? but he was depressed and worked a lot so she just figured things out… their relationship is based on when from a kdrama i watched so don’t @ me if this is confusing just go with it. 

despite her father working as a detective ( for the government… like all detectives ) she never quite trusted government officals. she loved and cherished her dad and his friends but her disturst stemmed from her mother’s unsolved death. from there, thalia began to formulate her own theories of her mother’s death ( usually much more dramatic than the truth of the matter which is some guy just hit her mom’s car while drunk and sped off so ! ) and other unsolved deaths. this is what led to thalia being who she is now —  a hard-core conspiracy theorist. she’s very much so moved on from theorizing about her mom’s death but anything from the moon landing to the new world order to aliens ? she’s researched and probably believes heavily and will discuss it in length with your muse !

her backstory in summary: she’s lived in rocky springs her entire life ! her mom died when she was five. her detective father did the best he could raising her but she spent a lot of time taking care of him instead. she’s a conspiracy theory hoe. on to her personality !

as for thalia’s personality, she’s definitely kind of weird ? like not in a bad way, she’s just a bit eccentric. she’s generally nice, like she isn’t picking fights on the daily or saying really mean shit for no reason — but she’s also not a push over at all. she’s stubborn and has her own opinions which she sticks to very heavily so ? kind, but strong-willed. she’s also super adventurours. like take her to a diner at 3am or take her to a beach an hour away or take her to a haunted house ( please. she wants to go to every haunted house ) she’s down for anything. she’s generally just a fun and kind person, but will put her foot down if she has to and doesn’t take shit from people. she can be very pessimistic ? doesn’t trust easily either. but still a fun gal ! expect lots of witty remarks and conspiracy theory talks ( also can chat your ears off about monster movies ). she’s a good bean so just love her thanks !
