I would like to see the baby.
Been looking forward to this one for ages, really hoping it delivers.
Just driven from Glasgow to Reading, im in the mood for violence.
It's a glorious sunny day in Glasgow. So naturally, I'm going to scuttle into the dark for a few hours.
Took a break from the more involved painting project im currently working on to do some "warm up" on another model. Got carried away and actually finished it, in less than a week, which for me is phenomenally fast.
Really happy with how this lad turned out. A black colour scheme is far more forgiving for mistakes. At some point I'll finish painting a squad he can actually lead.

Pretty fucking excited to see this in Imax.
Bit of light-hearted animation before hitting Akira on Imax tomorrow.
Gonna have a chill time in the cinema...
Project Hail Mary
Ryan Gosling plays a middle school science teacher and former molecular biologist who ends up on a mission light years from Earth in a desperate attempt to find a solution to the Sun dimming. On the way he encounters a wee rock alien from another world on exactly the same mission as his race are having the same problem with their Sun.
What follows is an absolutely delightful sci-fi action adventure, with some beautiful visuals and cinematography, with an adorable partnership between Gosling and his Rock buddy. It’s a great fun watch that balances it’s sci-fi, spectacle and characters into a satisfying whole that provides a very welcome shot of optimism in these shitty times.
Give it a watch, you won’t regret it.
Been a busy couple of weeks, so I haven't had the chance to go to the cinema. So now I'm off to see Ryan Gosling try to save the world.
Getting some big screen anime in my eyeholes.
Missed this when it first came out, but as it's Oscar season, I'm taking advantage of the additional run.
Iron Lung
Humanity is all but gone and a convict named Simon (played by Markiplier) is sent out in a submarine to find answers that may save the few humans that are left.
I don't want to say much more than that, beyond that this essentially single character, single location feature, is a dread filled cosmic horror coded delight..
Reviews on this one seem pretty split as people either seem to love it or hate it. And while I can understand some of the negative criticisms I definitely fell into the loved it side of things. Enjoyed this immensely, give it a watch if there's a screening near you.
Marty Supreme
Timothée Chalamet plays Marty Mauser, a world class Table Tennis player, in this fictional drama very loosely based on some of the exploits of real life Table Tennis player Marty Reisman.
The film follows Mauser as he attempts to leave his humble roots behind and fulfil his personal American Dreamâ„¢ of becoming crowned the best Table Tennis player in the world, and in turn becoming the world renowned superstar he feels himself to be. Mauser's character is legitimately a top tier player, but also a massively arrogant asshole, not afraid to do or say anything to blag his way through to get the money or favours he needs to achieve his dream. It's a hell of a ride watching him somehow defy the odds to get what he needs, only to watch him push it a little too far and sabotage himself back to square one again.
It's a really good film, great acting, great production values, engaging story, and it certainly deserves all the good press it has received. Would recommend.
I have heard good things. Time to see if they are true.
Off to see what all the fuss is about.
