i don’t know why ppl are freaking out that Nantucket is predominately white. Like it’s just a fact and it’s not necessarily bad?? Most of Massachusetts is white yo. There might be several different types of white. And maybe even some sort of POC community. But the driving force is white and it doesn’t do anything to become blind to that

It's not because WE think Nantucket being predominately white is a bad thing, it's because it was presented as a bad thing. "Don't ever go to Nantucket it's all..." as though everyone here is white, all the white people here are the same, whatever. We don't care what races the people living here are. What we do care about is how people who know virtually nothing about the island and it's culture make it seem to others.
