Food setup from the luau
Got my headphones in yesterday
Ugh... so much hurt
Been practicing Gion Kouta dance for my party and am in so much pain.
My mermaid ears came in today!
I’m dressing as a geisha and going to preform a traditional dance (Gion Kouta) and likely make a fool of myself. Lol 😆 but it’ll be fun. Did the Gion Kouta at an anime convention a few years back and won the cosplay contest with it. Nervous because some of my guests have actually been to Japan and I haven’t. One is likely to bring an exchange student he’s hosting from Japan.
The luau was a hit!
People are still raving about it! I’m so proud!
Next up is my 30th birthday- a Japanese themed costume party on September 29th.
But first, pics from the luau!
Made strawberry roses successfully ❤️
Mom refused to eat her banana so I had to do this to it
Mellon carving practice. What do y’all think?
A new type of crochet Plumeria I picked up. The smaller one was made with a size 1.5mm hook and the larger one was made with a 3.25mm hook and is as large as the previous flowers.
Here’s the pattern:
1. Magic Ring, 2. 4 sc into ring, slst into fist sc, 3. ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same st, 3 dc in each st around, slst in 3rd ch, 4. slst in next st, *ch 4, sk 2 sts, slst in next st, rep around (5 ch4 loops), slst into slst, 5. Into each ch 4 loop around work: slst, ch1, 10 dc, ch1, slst, 6. Into each petal around work starting at first workable stitch: i. slst ii. sc, hdc iii. hdc, dc iv. dc, dc v. tc, tc vi. tc, tc vii. dc, tc viii. dc, hdc ix. hdc, sc tc into post of r1 (there’s 5 posts- one for each petal), finish with a slst in first petal and bind off. Note that not all the stitches of the petal will be used before the tc into r1.
st / sts = stitch / stitches
ch = chain
r = round
sk = skip
rep = repeat
slst = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
tc = triple/treble crochet
Day 30- Spoonie Witchery Challenge
Day 30 – Spoonie Witch! Sum up what being a Spoonie witch means to you! What has it taught you? What are you thankful for? What is there still to learn?
Being a spoonie witch means I can't practice as much as I want to, but that doesn’t make me any less of a witch. I'm thankful for having fallen into witchcraft. I think it's one of the main factors for pulling me out of my severe depression. I still need to learn how to not hate myself. I highly doubt it'll ever happen.

Day 29- Spoonie Witchery Challenge
Day 29 – doctors and hospitals Share a way to be witchy when in hospitals, or a witchy tip for doctors appointments (e.g. a sigil for better communication)
Doctors have never made me nervous or anything.. The best tip I can give is not a witchy one but to just keep a journal and then before the doctors visit write a short summary for him or her to read over if you're bad at communicating. Take the whole journal as well in case they ask to see it for further reading or information or need clarification on anything (exactly when a symptom started or whatever).
I do that with my psychiatrist and it works great.
Day 28- Spoonie Witchery Challenge
Day 28 – witch-crafting Do you enjoy doing any craft activities? Eg. Jewellery making, crochet, sewing. Do you incorporate magic into these? Do you have a witchy DIY to share?
I do ALL forms of crafts and try to incorporate magic into them any way I possibly can. The best one I've found is crochet (knitting, tatting, and other forms of knotwork work the same) With every stitch, state your intention. It can work with sewing as well, but I've found it's most powerful with actual knotwork.
Other crafts: -Woodcarving: state your intention with every cut and form it to your will. -Wood burning: Burn your intentions into the designs. -Leatherwork/Leather tooling: punch, stitch and impress your intentions into the leather. -Crochet/knitting/sewing: Knotwork, poppets, witchy clothing and accessories! -Basketry and weaving: Weave spells together; weave your intentions together.
