We are working with new, activated-charcoal based self care brand Carbon 6 Lab to communicate the special and unique nature of the product to their growing customer and retailer base, as well as helping them strategize their future. You can read more about them via Vogue or via Refinery 29.

We have been working with Camerich Los Angeles to better communicate the brand to their target market via creating and art directing new imagery, creating content surrounding both the Camerich collections and other collections they carry (including Atelier Areti, Bosa Ceramics, Hering Berlin, Tom Dixon, miinu, and GUAXS), and creating a social media program that speaks to their brand and the program. Gienia is a new fine jewelry and accessory collection launched by longtime friends Jenny Augustyn and Eleanor Williams. They met while studying in Rome, and share an Art History background, which eventually led them to developing a mutual philosophy on collecting. From artworks to stones to singular jewelry pieces, they both became more and more interested in curiosities, and the idea that jewelry - more than anything else - is a souvenir from a moment in time.

We are helping them to create context surrounding their already beautiful collection. Together, we created visual and written content to speak to the worldly luxury of the brand, created a tiered pricing structure that allowed the collections to expand, created marketing materials that speak directly to their core client base, and made their web presence clear and more concise.

We recently completed a branding project for the new record label Crystalline Morphologies, which is a label started by musician and artist Gabie Strong. The idea was to keep the branding ‘modern’ but with a hand-done feel that spoke to the modernity of the music while keeping a rustic nature to the aesthetic. As much of the music she will be releasing is electronic in nature, we created a brand mark that referenced sine and envelope waves, speaking to the drone and angular aspects of electronic music. For the photographic direction of the products (LPs and cassettes), we echoed the modern and rustic aesthetic of the logo. Additionally, we created verbiage to speak to what the project is and where it’s going, and built a website communicating all the activities of the label.

We are working with artist Olivia Booth to develop and market a lighting collection. We helped her with everything from developing each individual piece, to creating verbiage to communicate her new brand and providing art and aesthetic direction for her new collection. We helped fine jeweler LFrank by Liseanne Frankfurt create materials and programs to communicate the luxury of her existing jewelry collection, as well as assisting her in launching lingerie as a new product category.

We worked with Liseanne to assure that the imaging and positioning of the collection is communicated in the same manner we have created for her fine jewelry collection, and that her target market understands the special nature of the lingerie.

We recently helped launch a new glassware company American Blown: Artist Engineered. Since the launch, they were voted one of the most popular design stories of the year on Selectism, and have entered into an exclusive arrangement with the (great) LA retailer Garde. We helped them with product development, branding, outreach, art direction, and product positioning. The photo above is by Heather Rasmussen.

Artemisia is a new collection specializing in fine textiles, pillows, and decor items for the home from the team of artist Rosemarie Padovano and gallerist Marcello Marvelli. Launching with pillows, they are working with some of the world's best fabric manufacturers including Scalamandre, Clarence House, Brunschwig & Fils, Fortuny, and Dessin Fornir. We worked with them to tighten up their brand verbiage, create materials and systems to allow them to better communicate with their market, create a tiered pricing structure to allow them to wholesale effectively, and create content to communicate the special nature of their product.

package we designed and made for East of Borneo’s edition of a classic selection of LAFMS ‘Lightbulb’ material culled from the magazine’s existence (77-81). hand stenciled and hand stamped, and available from East of Borneo. it launched at the LA Art Book Fair on January 31st.

These are 2 images of my accessory collection, Symmetry (2009-2012). It was a scarf-based collection with a custom designed hardware element allowing you to fasten the scarf any number of ways. I designed all of the hardware (which was all produced domestically) and the scarves were also made here out of Japanese fabrics. You can read more on CoolHunting and StyleBubble. logo/ branding we did for an upcoming series called ‘Urban Harvest’. the client wanted something that looked as if it was made with vegetable dye, so we created a hand-made stencil, and employed water color pencils to achieve the vegetable dye effect.

We worked with Brooklyn-based apothecary Meow Meow Tweet to increase customer engagement and communication.
