And just for those who may not be aware, Richard Spencer (the nazi being punched in the first gif) is the man who came up with “Israel is an ethnostate.” That slogan is literally nazi propaganda and if you, as a leftist or progressive, believe in or use that slogan then you are closer to being a nazi than you are to punching one.
Yes, fascism is something to absolutely oppose. But there is always a question you must ask yourself-‘Am I opposing fascists because I really want to hurt someone and be justified for it or am I opposing fascists because I care about Jewish people, Roma people and others considered undesirable?’
You HAVE to care about other people or you’re just going to be a hammer looking for a nail and it is so *very* easy to convince supposed antifascists to harm Jewish people and others if said the ‘correct’ way.
