[The detective treaded through an area carefully, aware of the dangers that could be lurking, she’s looking for something.. someone? Holding onto her hat carefully, paused to search into her satchel for a light.]

An unnerving presence looms somewhere behind the detective, impossible to identify until golden light pierces through the dark, revealing smoke billowing from its form. It announces itself with an almost teasing tone, grinning wing-to-wing as it trills,

"Well! You seem a little lost there, hmm?"

[She tensed up by the ominous voice, whipping out the flash light to look around her surroundings]

" Who’s out there!?- "

[The golden light caught her off guard… what.? Is this?? Lowering the flashlight, glancing up… too bright. Tilting her hat lower to keep herself from becoming MORE blind!]

The being's halo glimmers in the dark, stark and bright and loud against the whispering shadows coating the area, shrieking with warning even despite the... bird-thing's? Easy smile- which.

It stood completely untouched by shadow, like even the dark dared not disturb its presence. Unnatural- everything about it was unnatural.

"Who's out there? So very strange that people have begun forgetting his name this often-"

It- he?? Seems to tense at the thought, clutching his cloak closer before releasing it to throw his arms out in a flourish- the gesture feeling off (empty?), somehow- and trill,

"You stand in the presence of Telamon, searching one!"

" I’m… not familiar with Telamon. Forgive me for my ignorance, sir?? Ma’am.- person?? "

[Funny how she tries to make sure she doesn’t misgender a god.. Her eyes wondering upwards to see the face of the god like being, hard to see the face. But it was easier for Telamon to see her’s, The glow. It brightens the eyes of those who wonders about the unknown.]

...his arms slump to his sides and he just... stares with a blank kind of disappointment for a second before he sets his hands on his hips, taking up a haughty stance and refusing to so much as look at the detective.

"Too many these days do not. Really, you should read up on your gods! They depend on you!"

And then he relaxes, glancing at her from the corner of his eye and waving his hand in a lazy dismissal as he chirps,

"And don't worry about getting the formalities wrong, Telamon is fine with anything at all."

" yeah.. I’ll do some research later..- jeez you’re bright— I do not wanna be more blind than I already am. "

[Blinking to clear the small blindness. Properly adjusted her hat to avoid the blindness, standing straight while she held onto her satchel]

" ..Telamon..?… why do you approach me? If you don’t mind me asking. "

[She’s just curious as to.. “Why her”? Why is she the one they find instead of ANYONE else who could be lost.]

Its halo dims at the detective's comment on brightness- just enough to be slightly more comfortable. The deity still looks smug as the cat who got the cream, though, as it trills,

"You seemed interesting! Really, wandering in the dark, searching for who-knows-what, not thinking to bring out a light until you're in too deep to see anything ahead of you?"

He poorly hides a snicker under his hand- eyes crinkled up with a taunting mirth.

"It was funny!"

" …I know.. I am not being taunted by god. "

[THE EYE TWITCH IS CRAZY.. Bro.. this is NOT happy about being taunted. But.. easy detective. They’re more powerful than you.. She sighed and actually took notice that the light dimmed]

He bursts into uproarious laughter at the twitch of her eye, doubling over at just how hilarious he finds her annoyance. She was so terribly easy to mess with!!!

The smoke twisting from him bursts into flames as he cackles, taking a good few moments to collect himself and let the fire burn itself out, clearing his throat and continuing to grin widely as he trills,

"You are so very welcome, searching one! Apologies for Telamon's outburst, but he wasn't lying when he said it was funny."
