Welcome back, everyone! It's the Pharloomblr Games 2: Electric BUGaloo!

Of course, before we actually start the games, it's important to check out this FAQ, especially for those who are new/didn't participate last time. Please give this a read! It's mostly the same as last time, but with some alterations.

What’s the Pharloomblr Games?

Simply put, it’s a version of Hunger Games but done with members of the Pharloomblr, aka Hollow Knight/Silksong Tumblr roleplay community. This event is carried out using the BrantSteele Hunger Games simulator, a random text generator. S

I’ve never heard of that simulator! How does it work?

This simulator acts like an incorrect quotes generator, where you are allowed to input the names of any characters you like and then subsequently, those names would be randomly inserted into a random sentence the simulator chooses.

Here’s an example if you still don’t understand:

Team 1

Goldie, Leela (<-your input characters)

(Proceed with the game)

Goldie runs away from Pilgrim’s Rest. / Goldie takes a pin from Pilgrim’s Rest. / Goldie and Leela fight for a needle. Leela wins and runs. (possible events)

Alternatively, you may refer to the previous posts of this blog for a clearer picture.

Can events be customized?

Absolutely! All events can be changed to keep it Silksong themed. This includes event names, general events, and fatal events.

Wait! The simulator doesn’t allow gender neutral pronouns and neopronouns!

Unfortunate but true. Because of this, I’m defaulting all events that need pronouns to use they/them (ex. Dander accidentally pricks themself while picking berries; but he uses he/him). However, host commentary will use your character's correct pronouns where necessary.

Please respect this. If you’re not okay with it, don’t sign up.

How’s the violence level?

Medium to canon-typical, could be high sometimes. Q

Are there any rules to know about before registering?

Yes.

1. Each mod can only register a maximum of two characters/blogs. This is to let more people join without one mod swamping the places with all their characters; plus can slightly accelerate the registration system. If you run a plural blog/blog with more than one character, register only up to two of your goobers. Those who fail to follow this rule will have one/two of your registered characters randomly selected by me if you don't change your reblog in time upon request.

2. It doesn’t matter whether your character is canon or OC, from Hollow Knight or Silksong. All Pharloomblr members are welcome to participate! This also includes typical enemies, higher beings and children (because it's funny to watch a child kill a god with a knife /silly)

3. If you have participated in the previous Pharloomblr Games, you are welcome to join again! However, please register only blogs that did not participate last game.

4. Register only following the method stated below. It’s simple, don’t worry.

How do I register?

All you need to do is reblog this post! Tag your blog, tell me the name of your character(s), and give me the secret passcode in the following format. It’s hidden in this post!

How many characters can join in total?

According to the poll results in the Pharloomblr community, only 36 are allowed! After I get enough participants, I will mention it in a reblog. Any registrations after the aforementioned reblog will be ignored.

This is a passive event where participants don't have to actively contribute/compete. All you have to do is cheer your blogs on!

The events of each day of the games will be posted on this blog as screenshots, accompanied by the games’ hosts’ commentary (as seen last time, these hosts are my blogs!). If you want to be caught up on updates, you can follow this blog! Anyway, I’ll most likely reblog to the community every time a new post is made.

How often will updates be posted?

Unlike last time, updates will be posted weekly or bi-weekly. The events will also be posted in batches, which would be day and night events plus death counts (or, if it happens, the special event) all in one post.

Hello! It took me forever to make this for some reason lmfao

Anyway as you can probably tell, this whole post is OOC. I don’t quite feel like the subject of this post needs to be written in-character (let alone know how to do it in a way that feels natural) so it’s just me speaking the whole time. Why am I making a post for unused content? Because I spent three whole frickin’ days adding events and everything and majority of them never showed up even once when the games began. Also I just feel like sharing :D

We’ll get right into it below the cut! Some of these events may be pretty violent so please proceed at your discretion (no gore, just the nature of the events themselves)

Special Reward Delivery

After the games have concluded, it is only right we presented our sole victor a reward for surviving such a deadly battle. However, we have also discovered a way to access an alternate timeline; one where other now-deceased 35 tributes are (mostly) alive, well and blissfully unaware of the fact they had been slain in our games. Therefore, we have also decided to award each one a token of appreciation for joining our tournament. We are aware they are likely to be confused over receiving a gift for joining something that hadn’t occurred in their own timeline, but an appreciative gesture is an appreciative gesture regardless.

Before we officially close our doors on this account, stay tuned for one last post. We hope you enjoyed the show!

“That was truly unexpected…I thought we’d finally be finished yesterday! Don’t tell me we’re going to have to commentate on another day!”

“So that’s why they were bonding the night before. One of them had a fatal infection. But that’s not as important as the fact the games ARE FINALLY OVER—”

“And we finally have our winnerrrrr!”

“The winner is the tribute everyone was rooting for; Pabloooo! Looks like he must have taken the Judge’s sponsored bombs and used it against the final surviving tributeeee! Well done and congratulationsssss! See, spider-friend, this is why you don’t underestimate little bugssss!”

“Alright, alright, I see that now…congratulations, Pablo. You are the winner of the ‘Pharloomblr Games’. I still wonder why it’s called that…what’s the ‘-blr’ part supposed to mean?”

“Before we go, here’s the rankings of every tribute, every team and number of killssss!”

“Of course, as Pablo is the winner, he is in first place and so is his team. As for the kill count…it’s an impressive tie between two of our late moth tributes, Nightshade and Luna.”

It’s been a pretty interesting game to watch, and I enjoyed seeing every interaction/comment on each post. It was also pretty exciting every time I decided to update again as I can never predict what will happen and who dies next. While this is a significantly low commitment event with minimal active participation, I’m just really glad you guys decided to join anyway and watch this funny killing game happen. It’s been really fun. Anyway, final congratulations to the winner, thank you and goodnight!

“And a temporary alliance. What use is a temporary alliance this late into the games? They will have to kill each other later in the night…”

“This leaves us with three tributes left: the Judge and Waspinator, the temporary allies; and Pablo.”

“It’s time to see if either of those tributes had snapped at all. All that questioning must’ve led to something.”

“And we’ve gotten another death here, toooo! Relic Seeker Scrounge has fallen victim to one of the arena’s trapssss! Did we ever mention we placed traps around the arenaaaa? Uhuhuhuhuhu!”

“It also looks like more Plasmium has been brought into the arena, this time going to the one and only Emo Pilgrimmm! I wonder if they’ll get to use it to their advantage, or if they’ll be robbed of the opportunity before they could, like the Flame Fatherrrrr!”

“And here we have the death count. It’s been awfully low lately…I’m starting to wonder if the deceased tributes from the special event have something to do with this…and I’m not superstitious by any means.”
