Just as the last funnel crashed from the body of the ship she heard a faint voice whispering her name.

A soft gasp left her lips when your fingertips brushed higher, toying with the elasticated waistband.

I know. It’s a lame one liner. But it’s better than the last line of my work related e-mail that I wrote so...
@smol-and-grumpy
I have never reblogged something so fast in my life
it’s exactly what you think it is
it’s exactly what I thought it was.
It has been, 500 years.

Okay, THIS May the Fourth post is too serendipitous not to reblog. (Also it’s cheesy. I love cheese.)

Same. 👀
Stop talking to children about weight.
I was never small. I’ve always been bigger than others and my family definitely made it known. I went on my first diet when I was 6 years old not because my parents made me, but because I hoped to become skinny so I could feel like I could talk to family members without them mentioning my weight.
Do you know how many times I’ve looked at a pair of scissors or a knife and wished I could just cut all the excess fat off so I could look like my friends and so people would start accepting me and not constantly talk about my body or how Something must be wrong with it? I’m pretty sure I first imagined doing it when I was about 8.
Stop talking to children about weight.
Same. I was 7 when my grandma told me she would pay me $20 for every 5 pounds I lost. That was the first time I realized that I was apparently the fat kid and that it was bad, wrong and ugly. Stop talking to children's out weight.
Discrimination against Asians is nothing new, at least not to me. As an Asian woman in the western world, I have gone through a lot of discrimination, have heard a fair share of racist slurs, have been overly sexualized, have heard people calling me things I wouldn’t wish a young girl to hear, have been treated as an object and dehumanized (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the jokes about mail-order bride, or happy ending massages in my life), and the list goes on. I grew up fighting against stereotypes people have in their minds of how people of my race should behave and live, and therefore, I have learned to grow a thick skin.
Even though words can not hurt on the outside, they can deeply scar someone.
We are scared, we don’t show it but we are.
Please stand with us. Just knowing that we’re not alone, helps a lot. And please, if you have them, don’t forget to check in on your Asian friends.
I stand with you and will continue to do so every second of forever. Racism won’t and never should be tolerated in any way, shape or form. I’m so very, deeply sorry that you’ve had to experience all of the things that you have. The world needs to change, and we can help that happen.
