Drabbles! Could we see something with Nat x gn or nb!reader? Maybe R gets injured doing something stupid and Nat has to stitch them up and scold them? A slight hurt/
Author: Madison ( @caws5749 )
A/N: I forgot all about the stitches im so sorry blame StefÂ
You hadnât really meant for it to happen.Â
It wasnât your fault that Sam was so competitive. He was always betting you on things, and you loved to win. Itâs why you hadnât even blinked when he'd bet that you couldnât twirl a knife without something bad happening.Â
You couldnât have been more wrong.Â
Youâd taken the knife, accepting the challenge, smirking as you twirled it in your hands.Â
âWhatâs going to happen? Itâs not like Iâm going to stab myself,â you scoffed, right before you dropped the knife.Â
Because luck seemed to be not on your side, the pointed edge went straight down and right into your thigh.Â
âI- I should get Natasha,â Sam immediately stated, standing while you tried not to show how much pain you were in. You waited for what seemed like five minutes, though it was probably only thirty seconds before familiar footsteps could be heard.
âWhat on earth were you thinking?â
âI was thinking that Sam wasnât going to win this bet,â you mumbled.
âYou are reckless and irresponsible,â Natasha retorted, already bringing out the first aid kit. âIt doesnât look like you need stitches, somehow.â
You rolled your eyes. You knew you werenât quite out of the woods yet. She had so much more scolding to do.Â
âWhy do you insist on betting with Sam? You win half the time, you lose half the time, and itâs dangerous. I donât care that you bet stupid things, but when you bet something like this, you could get injured. Look, you did get injured, and-â
You let her continue on for a few more minutes, half listening while you tried to look sorry. In reality, you were admiring how beautiful she looked while angry, but you surely werenât going to tell her that.Â
âDoes it hurt?â Natasha finally questioned after sheâd gotten through her rant. You frowned. This was your way out of the scolding, and it did hurt.Â
âYeah,â you said sadly, jutting out your lower lip.Â
âMy poor baby,â she nearly cooed, sweeping you into her arms. You appreciated her warmth and comfort as you let yourself be held.Â
âIâm sorry,â you mumbled against her.Â
âI know. Just donât do it again.â
