Digital marketing is something that has changed how everyone markets their products or services. One marketing strategy that is constantly being utilized now is social media. One thing I realized is that it can be a long process to fully develop your social media presence.  At the same time a business should focus all their attention on one or two platforms because it takes a lot of time and effort to be successful marketing this way and some platforms are not meant for every business to promote their product or service.

Another thing about digital marketing is it is more effective when it is personalized to an individual instead of a group. With email marketing, it is as simple as including someone’s name in the opening sentence to make them see as a business you take those extra steps to make a person feel important.

Digital marketing can also be very tedious when it comes to social media marketing, content marketing, and email marketing. It can be as simple as changing one word or placing some of your content in a different place. There are so many small changes you can make to your digital marketing campaign that can boost your sales and revenue quickly.

One thing that I have realized is that in this new digital world, everything is easier than ever and that includes marketing products or services. There are businesses and that is what they do. Help other businesses with their marketing scheme. You have books and guides that can be located on the internet and with all of this information it is easier than ever to market products and services.

Cellphones Activity

Cellphones are something that have become a necessity for a lot of people’s lives. In most homes you will not find a landline and pay phones are practically nonexistent. We have most everything right at our fingertips. Anything from digital banking, to watching our favorite sports teams.

I have a wide variety of apps on my phone. Spotify is definitely the app I use most in my day to day. I have my social media and banking apps as well. I also have my investing, movie, and sports apps. These are the apps that I use most often.

The apps on my phone are put into folders by entertainment, social media, etc. I do not put my apps in a specific place because I never know what screen I will lock my phone on. I just like everything to be grouped into a similar category.

The app I enjoy the most is Acorns. This is an investing and savings app that offers many different amenities. It makes saving money easy and you can set up everything so it automatically does everything you need. The app promotes the company because you have banking and investing at your fingertips. You can quickly and easily check your investing return and savings.

Downloading the Acorns app is free. For Acorn's, you pay a monthly subscription fee of 1,3, or 5 dollars and that is how they generate revenue. I was skeptical at first, but after using Acorns for a few years I have found it to be very beneficial for a lot of my needs

Our Digital World

When I was a young kid, the digital world was just starting to leave its mark on the world. You had dial up internet and could not even make or answer a call when someone was on the internet. Now you find kids that are two and three years old that are digitally connected. Even though I have grown up in a digital world, I am not super technologically inclined. The three electronic devices that I use on a regular basis would be my iPhone, apple watch, and my laptop. I have owned some other electronic devices in the past though. A few game systems and an iPad and a tablet or two. I never really used my tablets or my iPad when I had them.

I am not super active on too many social sites. The social site I use most frequently is Facebook. I enjoy using Facebook, not to interact with people or share much, but because I really enjoy the memes that people post. I also scroll through Instagram from time to time. I am not super active on social sites, but a lot of the content they offer, I find humorous and appealing, but it can also become overwhelming because of the negativity that can come from social sites. The social site I use most often is snapchat. It is nice to see peoples faces and videos and to see their everyday life on their stories. It is like a smart way to text message because you can send pictures and messages and it has privacy, amongst a lot of other content to view.

The younger generations are super connected to the digital world and their smart devices. I am pretty connected to my phone, but at the same time I am not. I do find enjoyment being able to search on the internet when I need to know something, and I also enjoy the memes that social media has to offer. I feel I am not as digitally connected as a lot of people my age though. They stream the good the bad and the things that personally, a lot of things that some would consider oversharing. I have a love hate relationship with the digital world because I feel like famous people’s lives are invaded for the smallest mishaps, and some people use social media in the wrong way. From time to time, I will deactivate my social media for a period because I feel it brings me some peace of mind. I enjoy the digital world but joy the same time I do not enjoy all aspects of it. I am interested to see how the digital world will continue to transpire as it becomes a necessity for a lot of people in life.

First time for everything

Hello, my name is Andre Page. I am a 26 year old, father of two. X’zavier who is three and Raven who is four. I have never blogged before so this will be an interesting experience for me. I am currently a senior at CSP and starting to imagine life without school again. I love playing and watching sports. I enjoy the outdoors and of course spending time with my kids. I am very interested to see where this course takes us.
