Iri’ith stared, blinking a bit, before letting out a string of curses in a language that didn’t sound Earth-based.
“Kesil, kesil. I can’t go elsewhere for a little bit, but I’m happy to just stay out of your way and not cause trouble. I don’t really have control of where I end up in new places. Just...that I end up in them.” She held her hands up, palms forward in a gesture of ‘I mean no harm’.

"Overture of Paradox Space" by AutoDevote
The feeling of slipping through the empty spaces into a new dimension, a new world was…exhilarating. Years later, and the feeling didn’t wear on her, didn’t make her feel strange or awkward or bored. The world she slipped into, however, put her on edge. Every bit of it felt strange, wrong, and then the difference in air quality hit her and she coughed, covering her mouth and nose.
Wherever she was, it was definitely more advanced than many of the worlds she’d been to before. It reminded her more of an advanced, less-shiny-air quality version of her birth dimension…
Oh joy. Another intruder. Rock sighed, loudly, before slipping his helmet on and marching over to her. She hadn’t come through any known rift, which either meant there was a new one, or she had a way of traveling herself.
Neither of which would be good news.
"You. I suggest you either turn back the way you came or give me a damn good excuse not to fry your ass in the next 20 seconds."
Fuck. Of course she’d slipped into somewhere unfriendly. Just her luck. “Uh...I’d happily do so, but it’ll take me at least an hour to have the energy to be able to slip into another world.” Maybe she could buy herself time until she could...maybe she’d get lucky...

10. have been handcuffed together
Iri’ith eyed the cuffs, frowning and trying to not slip through the empty spaces. She wasn’t sure if she would take the other guy with her, since the last time she’d slipped out of ropes…the ropes had tagged along.
"Uhm…so how’d we manage this? Considering we don’t even know each other."
"I have no goddamn idea." Cale sighed, idly rubbing his arm. "Last I knew I’d stepped into another universe an’ suddenly I’m bein’ treated like a fugitive. Kind of assumed our captors were friends of yours."
"Alas, they are not." She sighed. "I'm not even a native here." Or...anywhere she went, really. "So uh...I'm Iri'ith. Got any ideas to get outta these?"

Erin didn’t know who she was, but she did know a sad person when she saw one, and the mutant shifted forms to that of a very large wildcat, padding over before the now-panther puffed in the girls’ face, nosing into her arms to flop. There, see?
Kitties made everything better.
"You’re an unfamiliar face. Uh…mind telling me why you’re being a giant cat in my lap?" She’d stopped being down and started being confused.
Erin smiled as a cat could, and rubbed, purring. She was sad, duh!
"Huh. You're weird, but whatever." She pet the feline on the head, shrugging.

13. got snowed in to a remote mountain cabin
Snow.
Iri’ith’s left eye twitched a bit.
Of all the places to slip into, she had to end up in a house of some sort with WAY TOO MUCH SNOW OUTSIDE. She made a squawk of disapproval before noticing there was someone else there. Oh.
"Uh…hi?"
The reploid looked up from the small electronic tablet he was reading something off of, teal eyes blinking. He was rather used to outsiders showing up unannounced— this WAS a hub world— but he’d never had them show up quite so far from the main HQ before.
"…Hello there. Please make yourself comfortable? It may be some time before the rift reopens." And he didn’t have the finer equpiment out here, or he’d send her home right away.
"Uhm...less me needing a rift and more just needing a little recovery time before I can slip to another dimension." She sighed, moving to find a seat...preferably close to a source of warmth. She really was not dressed for any sort of cold.
"Sorry for the intrusion. Usually my travels don't land me in someone else's home."
