it is 3 days until my bf comes to visit and i have successfully avoided PEM while also preparing the entire house for his arrival. it’s not perfect because if it was i would be in PEM but i’m not and everything is still fine. he’s going to be here for 2 whole weeks and it’s going to be amazing

i wish it wasn’t common practice for both movies/shows and fans to make content where a wheelchair user gets out of their wheelchair. like yeah i’m an ambulatory wheelchair user, i can stand up from my wheelchair on a whim, but like it feels a little weird when fans draw disabled characters without their mobility aids and even weirder when movies/shows make it a joke. like oh haha the guy who’s supposed to be in a wheelchair is standing now how funny
