i never get people's selective outrage at mass crocheted things because "crochet cajt be done by machines!!" like do you guys think that any other mass produced thing has a machine that does 100% of the work??😭 just putting the material in, and finished product comes out the other end type of machine. and ofc the machine is the one getting the products in the first place... like sure i get it but it is telling how people online who crochet talk about it, and how they always seem to only be mad about it because itll affect their crochet small business because now they have a cheaper competitor... idk man because everything about madd production is horrifying when the conditions are bad and the workers are exploited but it feels like at the end of the day no one reaaly cares and the best theyll say is how ohh but ethical alternatives are so expensive, which i get. but the average shein haul people arent buying random junk every month because theyre poor snd in need. or the "there is no ethical consumption under capitalism therefore i dont have to think about any of my action" people who make me want to kill someone
