Hesitantly Santana approached the blanket, standing next to where the pup lay feeling the softness of the blanket under her paws she begins kneading it purring quietly as she did. It was definitely more comfortable than the leaves or branches she would of slept in if she didnât find this new friend and with that thought she turned and slowly lowered herself into a neat ball
She chuffs her amusement at her companions behaviour and reached a paw out once more, resting it on a patch of fur that quite honestly she wasnât sure where it was from. It could be the pups chest but she suspected it was stomach because of the softness and lack of anything firm under her claws. Claws that she was tempted to let out just a little to scratch the fur again since theyâd both enjoyed that before.
Lucy watched with no small amount of happiness as the cub accepted her offer, curious as it kneaded the dusty blanket before laying down, curling up into a tiny bundle of fur. Her abdomen tensed at the touch of a warm paw, but since there was a distinctive lack of muscle there, it didnât really make a difference, and for a moment Lucy stayed still, wondering if canines had abdominal muscles capable of developing into stronger, more firm mass as they grew up.Â
With a snort, she shook the random thoughts out of her head, instead righting her position and ever so slowly crawling closer to the cub, sniffing at her fur as she went, and stopping only once her slightly bigger body was laid behind her dark counterpart, curling around it in a sort of cocoon, tail thumping lazily on the blanket once she was comfortable. Not knowing how well her attention would be received, she sniffed at the back of the cubâs neck, nuzzling the soft fur lightly before taking a tentative lick, then waited for a reaction.
