I want you to look me in the eyes, and take… my… life.
The science of StarStarStar.
Trek: This is science-fiction, but we want our science to at least sound plausible. Therefore, most of the time, our scientific explanations will be rooted in scientific fact or at the very least solid, generally accepted theory.
Gate: We're about half and half. We try to make it plausible sometimes, but usually you just have to technobabble your way through it.
Wars: This man has a laser sword. Why does he have a laser sword? Because laser swords are cool. This is all the explanation you need.
What they did to me was monstrous.
And they created a monster. (via ahumble-vaudevillianveteran)

Send my muse lies about people they care for.
James had been watching Helena walking around in just his shirt for a few minutes and it was getting to much to just watch. Walking over to her, he pulled her gently back against him as his hands went to undo the shirt. "You know as delectable as you are in my shirt. You look even better without it. You're so beautiful, Helena. Let me show you, please?"
Jumping slightly as James’ arms slid around her, Helena relaxed an instant later when she realized who it was, a smile flickering across her lips. A soft shiver running up her spine as his breath ghosted across her ear as he spoke, she leaned back into his solid chest, her hands moved to rest over his, as he started to unbutton the shirt she had stolen from his closet.
Rolling her hips, grinding her rear back against him, she groaned low in her throat, “I do believe I would like to know just what you have in mind.”
It had been a busy week and James had thought that a break was in order. Taking Helena to his house by the sea had been one of his better ideas, he thought, and he reasoned that it would do both of them the world of good. On their second morning there, James had taken Helena by the hand and they were now walking down the beach - hand in hand. "I always have liked the seaside - so peaceful, for the most part."
Squeezing his hand lightly, Helena leaned in to press a soft kiss to James’ cheek, a smile drifting across her lips. She had been wary at first, when he had suggested the vacation to the seaside, She had worried about taking the time away from Will, worried about leaving him in the care of others as she always did, but waking this morning, to find that for the first time in several weeks, she was not feeling ill, had wiped all doubts from her mind.
“I never did get the chance to spend much time at the seaside… Though if it is like this all of the time, then I could get used to spending a great deal of time in a place like this. It’s so serene.”
James pressed a kiss to the hand he was holding before he looked out to the horizon. The sea was calm today and only a few fluffy clouds marred the pure blue sky. It was still quite early so the sun wasn’t up to full strength yet and James had promised himself that he wouldn’t let Helena stand out in the midday sun while she was here. She needed rest and care, and that was exactly what he planned on giving her.
His thumb swiped across her hand as he kept the pace of their walk slow and tugged her a little closer to him.
“The house used to belong to my parents and then it was passed down to me. I have some very good memories from when I was very little. Once I hit ten, family life got difficult and we started coming here less and less. I still like the old place though. It’s the perfect hideaway from the city. Next time we can bring Will with us. There’s plenty of room and I’m sure he’d enjoy the beach. When it’s like this it is perfect.”
He paused to give Helena a quick glance - looking her over for signs of her feeling unwell. “How are you feeling, my love?”
Squeezing James’ hand, Helena stayed quiet as he talked, frowning as he talked about the degradation of his family life. Tugging his hand to stop him, she pressed up onto her tiptoes, kissing his cheek softly, “I’m glad you kept this place, it gives us a chance to build more good memories here.”
Sliding her arm around his waist, she leaned her head against his shoulder, her gaze traveling out over the gently rolling white caps. “I’m actually woke up feeling better this morning feeling better than I have in several weeks. I think the sea air has been good for me.”
*Steps up behind his chair, and slides her hands over his eyes, leaning in to whisper in his ear, "Guess who?"
He hears footsteps coming over to him and so he isn’t surprised when he feels her hands on his face. Leaning back, he smiles - a chuckle escapes his lips, “Not a particularly hard challenge, is it - Helena?”
His smile widened at her remark and he relaxed in his chair as he let her take the book - intrigued to see what she plans on doing.
“That is what they say,” he replied, his arms wrapping round her waist pulling her closer to him. Leaning forward, to press a brief kiss to her lips, James answered, “I was going to at some point. I only got back yesterday and I had heard that you were presently busy. I was going to give it a couple of days and then find you. Possibly for more than just hello.”
Humming happily into the kiss, Helena kept her arms around his neck, even as she pulled back slightly, to look him in the eye. Raising her eyebrow, she considered him for a moment, “More than a hello, hmm? Care to demonstrate what you had in mind?”
With a small chuckle, James sat up and leaned back in to Helena. He rubbed his nose against hers as his lips brushed hers.
“Well, I thought I’d start with something along the lines of this.”
With that James pressed his lips to Helena’s again as he held her closer and drifted his tongue along her lower lip.
Moaning softly against James’ lips, Helena pulled back after a moment, and gave him a crooked smile, “A wonderful start.”
Nipping at his lower lip, she stood up, holding out a hand to help him to his feet, “Perhaps we should continue our reunion somewhere a bit less public?”
“I’ve changed my mind… I’m not getting out of bed today. Come back to bed with me?”
“Mom….If you don’t get out of bed right now, I’m taking the car.”
Huffing in irritation, Helena reluctantly got out of the bed, “I thought teenagers were supposed to enjoy the chance to sleep in. Why are you up so early?”
“Just thought you’d enjoy something as beautiful as you, my love.”
A wide smile stretching across her face, Helena closed her eyes and took a deep breath, relishing the sweet fragrance of the beautiful flowers. Setting them down on the small side table, she turned back to Terran, “Thank you darling, they are beautiful!”
