⏠-- our muses slow dance together
Daisy didnât go out dancing very often. In fact, she actively tried to stay away from dancing. She had this grand idea of making eye contact with someone from across the bar and immediately falling in love with them through a dance, something so random and so romantic that she was scared it wouldnât happen. However, she couldnât stay away forever.
It was a Friday night, the club was in full swing with hot, sweaty bodies dancing in all the corners and crevices. Daisy was, somehow, in the corner with a drink in hand, watching couples dance for a few songs and slowly leave hand in hand. It was interesting to watch, to say the least, but it also made her heart hurt.Â
She was just about to leave, setting her drink down and standing up to fix her dress, when she took one last look around the club. A small part of her half-expected to stay the guy of her dreams across the club, giving her a shy smile and all. Instead, Daisy saw one Bertha Jorkins. The girl was practically in the same situation as Daisy, eyes glazing over the crowd, which Daisy couldnât fathom as Bertha was simply gorgeous.
In a heartbeat, they saw each other. A small smile was exchanged, and Daisy began to make her way through the crowd. The pair said nothing as they met in the middle, simply exchanging a tight hug and a bright grin. Silently, they agreed to dance together-- something about âforget those other assholes.âÂ
In a matter of a song, half the crowd had dispersed and left Daisy and Bertha in a much quieter crowd. Upon seeing this, the DJ changed it up and put on something slow. At first, Berthaâs face fell and she shrugged sadly. Daisy, however, didnât want to stop dancing. So, she took Berthaâs hands and put them around her own neck, then resting her hands on the girlâs hips. A proper slow dance arrangement, Daisy smiled.Â
When looking at the pair, most would have been positive that they were a couple. They were dancing quite close to one another, foreheads pressed together, as song after song went by. They dancing quietly like this, not saying a word to each other, until an employee came and asked them to leave. Daisy and Bertha giggled, and made their way towards the exit. Just as they were to part ways, Bertha grabbed for Daisyâs hand and pulled her to walk with her. Daisy was blushing madly, as the pair walked home silently, hand in hand.
