A Mountain of Hope and Courage
She transforms quickly and follows him off of the edge, trusting him. When she looked down, and then back at him..Yayoi could only grin under her helmet. ”It’s real…real magic. No tricks…and..and we’re flying!” Careful not to move too much, she mentally squeals as they coast down on the air wave.
Yuzuru stayed focused as Yayoi was amazed. He dared not lose his concentration as it could be dangerous to do so. He eyed a clearing just off from the city down below and guided them there. The perfect place to land. He tried his best to land gently but it was a little rough. The two had to meet the ground running to stay upright.
"Yahoo!" Yuzuru exclaimed once he grounded himself. He was proud and happy that he shared this moment of his growth of control over his power with Yayoi. "Are you okay?"
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
Yayoi chuckles. ”That’s good.” she said, standing up and stretching as she picks up her backpack, putting her clothes in order before putting the backpack on. It was the only thing left besides what he’d sent home..that was a pretty neat spell after all.
Upon seeing his devious grin, her eyes widened just a little and she nodded quickly, albeit a little apprehensive. The gust of wind was impressive.
"Yes!" She giggles a bit at your daring question, "It’s gonna be wild so let’s see anyone try to stop us." Placing her hand in his free hand, she nods her assent, being ready.for a thrill.
"First, just to be safe, let's transform." With his free hand he scanned his mage ring and equipped himself. Waiting for Yayoi to do the same he looked on as the violet form enveloped her and the shimmering after effects lingered in the gale.
"Okay, here we go!" He took her hand once more and walked toward the edge with his special ring in hand. Activating it he siphoned his well of mana carefully and adjusted the thrust before cautiously walking off of the edge with Yayoi. There was a dip in altitude but he managed to enforce the magical wind and the two had lift off. He guided the wind to gently take them down.
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
Yayoi giggled just a little at his reaction. ”Hey, sleepyhead.” she smiles a little, taking his hand in hers when he offered to help her up, and rising to her feet. ”I estimate we’ve been asleep about an hour and a half or so. Our equipment hasn’t been disturbed..and even though it’s cold I didn’t get cold at all. How did you sleep?”
"Like a baby!" Yuzuru smiled. His cheeks beginning to hurt from how much he was doing that lately. "I'll get everything cleaned up." He bent down and folded the blanket on which they rested and folded everything in it before putting it in the basket and opening a connect portal to his home.
"All clean." He giggled. "Let's say we make it back down? Maybe we can try something to make it a little more exciting." He suddenly donned a somewhat devious grin as he pulled out his Special Ring and placed it on his finger. Scanning it he supplied a small amount of mana to only test its capabilities.
Special, Now! He placed his hand away from Yayoi as a gust of wind blew from a portal placed in front of his hand. "Wanna fly?" He didn;t know what had gotten into him but he felt confident and wanted to see what he could do. With Yayoi there, he knew she could help."
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
She closed her eyes as well, resting peacefully in the cool air. They remained that way for the better part of an hour and a half..and it was Yayoi who awoke first. She notices him slightly slumped against her, but she doesn’t follow her instinct to pull away, remembering what had happened…and then seeing the ring on her finger.
Kami, she just wanted to squeal with joy. And she probably would, when he wasn’t around. She’d fangirl so hard too. Yayoi was certain now, this whole girlfriend thing wasn’t something she minded being at all. In fact..she liked it and wanted to be it. Because he deserved it. Iiya, not only that. She deserved it too.
Smiling softly, she whispers in his ear, “Yuzuru-kun?” to wake him up. It was about mid-afternoon by that point.
"Wha?" Yuzuru awoken suddenly. He had stumbled back falling down onto his backside. "Oh, Yayoi." He raised his hand to his jaw as he always did after he had slept. Alarms went off in his mind and his eyes opened wide as he remembered he sometimes drools in his sleep. Luckily though this wasn't one of those times.
"Hi!" He greeted her once again as he fixed his hair and clothes. He stood and stretched. Lowering his hand he offered to help Yayoi up as well. Yuzuru would not forget this day.
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
Yayoi felt her cheeks flame with embarrassment at his words, and especially at what he did after. His lips were a little rough, but it made her tremble inside at how gentle it was.
Her next action is impulsive…burying her face in the crook of his neck to hide the blushing, putting her arms around his back tightly…not trusting her voice at all. This level of sweetness…she was one of a kind? What the young mage had done, had rendered her speechless…
"Yayoi-kun..." Yuzuru resisted for a moment but the hold she held on him kept him there. Not that he couldn't physically pull himself from her but she had this magnetism about her. He did not want to let this moment pass. Enjoying every bit of it, he furrowed himself into her as she had done. The cold wind blew but all he felt was her warmth. He closed his eyes and softly drifted into a sea of content.
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
Yayoi blinked as she looked at him, and something in her began to build. Apprehension maybe? She didn’t know. But what she did know..is that it was a black box…
And when he opened it…he took her breath away, the young assistant barely managing an, “Eh?” as she stared at it, speechless. The silver outline of the ring, the violet stone, the kyoryuger symbol…Sugoi…especially with the silver shimmer.
So she remained, speechless, her cheeks scarlet as she reached her hands forward to gently take it. ”Yuzuru…it’s amazing.” she mumbles softly, looking at you. In that moment, some bright light pinged out from her…her melody had become in tune with his. Even if he didn’t know or understand it..
Slowly..she puts the ring on her right middle finger, like he would do..
"I'm glad you like it." Yuzuru smiled peacefully as his excitement faded into a calm. The range of emotions she could make him feel surprised him but he made nothing of it.
"It was made just for you. One of a kind, like you." He felt something and leaned forward once more. Something pulling him in. Another thing pushing him closer. Mustering all the bravery he could he placed his lips gently onto her cheek while she eyed the ring. It was sudden but it was sufficient to quell his need to show his affection.
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
She pulls back after he did as well, and doesn’t pay that any mind. A similar feeling had been there, but she’d actively quashed that. No ruining of this beautiful excursion, thank you. Or so was her basic thought process. She opens Yuzuru’s water bottle and hands it to him, doing the same with her own, finishing up the rest of the sandwich in short order. ”Ah, that was so good!”
Grinning, she reaches over for a donut, and takes a bite.
"Cool." Yuzuru tried to contain himself. He tried to play it safe. He had no idea what he was doing but being close to her indeed felt right. So instead of doing what he might have regretted he moved around and sat next to Yayoi instead of across from her. He didn’t touch or interrupt her in any way. He got close enough to be able to feel her presence. Her warmth. Her bravery. And everything around them seem to vanish. The view from the cliff hadn’t mattered because he found something better to look at and as he did the brightest smile shown through. Followed by an immense fit of the giggles.
Yuzuru once hated the powers he was given. He wanted nothing to do with them. He hadn’t had the confidence in himself to accept them and use them for good. But now, he wouldn’t have had it any other way. These gifts brought him closer to two of the most important people in his life at the moment.
Yayoi has a small smile on her face as the donut-eating continues, briefly looking over to see that Yuzuru had sat closer to her. This was fine…but she quickly sets her donut down when he begins giggling, looking at him with eyes wide and radiant of warmth, a surprised smile…and then a fit of her own giggling, her face being radiant in that moment..
With a swift motion Yuzuru took the small black box from behind his back. He had secretly taken it out of the basket when Yayoi was eating. His plan to move closer to her was to give it to her in a more personal matter.
"I um wanted to give you something." He unveiled the box from his closed grasp. "The ring I gave you before, it wasn't special enough. I asked a favor to have a special one made." Yuzuru had asked Wajima to make him a special ring. In return he would work at the Antique shop for a while. "Here." His hand shook slightly from excitement as he opened the box. The silver around the stone shimmered from the light emanating from his power. The violet stone was infused with a small portion of his mana. And was cut just around the pattern of the kyoryuger symbol. It was a special ring that held the power of both hope and bravery.

Yayoi’s blush only remained as he spoke, and she closed her eyes as he hugged her tight, leaning against him. Warm…that’s the only way she could describe this feeling right now. A gentle warmth. Unlike anything she’d heard of or seen before.
Her eyes move up to meet his.. “You deserve every bit of that confidence. Yuzuru-kun…you’re welcome. Just do your best..and don’t compare yourself to others. I’ve chosen you, after all.” Her mouth flashes in a grin, showing pretty white teeth. ”Omae no na…you’re awesome too.” she gave, raising her sandwich to her mouth and taking a satisfied bite out of it, before putting it down and throwing her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly, returning his excitement in kind as she looks into his eyes.
"As long as you do the same." Something in him had dare him to lean in closer but he quickly pulled back. Yuzuru was scared of that inner voice or rather didn't trust it. He turned and bit into his very own sandwich.
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
Yayoi’s face flushed pink when he asked her, and she decided to let the question hang for a moment, looking down before looking back up, winking at him and flashing a full smile. ”Hai!” she says resolutely. ”I will. I admire your courage, and the fact that you have stuck with me despite my shortcomings. You’re the first person to stir such deep feelings in me, Yuzuru-kun…and you should know that if I can I would do anything to help you..But most importantly…I’ve accepted you the way you are. I hope you continue to do the same for me.” Her face was pretty red by now..
Overrun with excitement he reached over and wrapped Yayoi in his arms. "You are a wonderful and caring person who has given me so much confidence. Thanks and this means the world to me. I know you could probably do better than me but I will try to be the best person I can for you." He pulled back but his hands rested on her shoulders as he looked into her eyes. "I will always accept you because you are awesome."
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
Yayoi smiles a bit, nodding at his humor. She appreciated it. Deciding to pick up her sandwich first, she takes a bite of it. ”Ah! Oishi.” She smiles before leaning over to reach into her pack and get out two bottles of water, handing one to Yuzuru while taking the other herself, and continuing to eat.
His question raises her eyebrows to him again, and she takes off her glasses, holding the sandwich in one hand, listening intently. His statements made her blush..but they were also good questions….and she thinks about them.
What did someone do like that? In that type of situation…. there was no rulebook really to guide that. Sure, there were accepted societal notions…but she threw those out the window in her mind. They were different.
The situation was different, everything was just…unique and different.
"If a person likes someone..instead of relying on some kind of procedure or playing a game…they should follow their heart." she taps her fist over her chest. "It’s Brave to gather up the courage to do it…and if a certain young mage felt the need to ask this someone out, then he should do it." Her eyes look to him now, giving a kind smile to go along with the twinkle in one of them. He would not be disappointed…
"Then, will you um, go out with me Yayoi-kun? I mean you don't have to, clearly. I am fine with that, I think. But will you?" Yuzuru gathered the courage to ask and he hoped she would say yes. She did say she liked him but maybe asking her out was too soon. He looked on at Yayoi and once again took in her being. He enjoyed every bit of her. And if she were to say no he would be distraught but he would find a way to deal with it.
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
"Sou ka. That donut shop really is awesome then." Yayoi gave, helping sit her pack down off of Yuzuru’s back. Then she sits down on her side of the blanket, briefly opening her coat, closing her eyes a bit to feel the sweet mountain air on her neck…but then closes it up right after because it’s still cold. The sun was out though and that was helping things. Being all bundled up like a little eskimo did make her cute at least.
She wasn’t too sure about the whole asking thing either, but she was going to enjoy lunch. Patiently sitting there, Yayoi waits for him to set out the food.
"It is." Yuzuru placed the sandwiches and donuts out. "Hopefully we don;t get any hungry visitors." He laughed to try and ease some of the tension he hoped Yayoi didn't feel emanating from him. But because of that tension he grew restless with every move he made. Something had to give. He needed answers.
"So, what does a person do if they like someone?" He asked. Phrasing it in a way as if he was asking himself. He hadn't thought his plan through so he just threw the thought out there. "Do they ask them out? Or in considering they may be outside already? Would they need to? Are they already going out?" In some odd fashion this was possibly Yuzuru's way of asking Yayoi out.

Sora walks out of school feeling glad. She didn’t exactly like school as she would rather be travelling around the worlds. She slings her bag on her shoulder and walks to the Cafe mal’damour. As she was walking there, she sees a monster attacking a specific lady. One thing was for sure that it was not a Fangire as it did not have stained glass motif. So, what was it? “Despair! Despair!” The monster called out.
Grabbing her Decadriver from her bag, she places it on her waist then activates the Driver. “Henshin.” She then places the Card into the Driver. Kamen Ride D-D-Decade. Sora grabs her Ride Booker from her side and attacks the monster. “Hurry and run!” calling out to the lady.
Yuzuru walked along as he heard the sounds of battle grow louder. At first he wanted to run but he knew he should go see what was going on. It was now his resolve to fight. He chose this path and that meant risking his life for others. Not just those close to him but everyone he could help.
As he ran towards the sounds he lifted his rings out of his pocket and placed his hand in front of his belt buckle. Driver On, Now! Change, Now! "Henshin!" He placed his hand in front of him and ran forward as the mage magic circle closed in on him and giving him his suit. As he arrived on the battlefield he noticed what looked to be another rider fighting a phantom. Connect, Now! He reached and pulled out his newest weapon. The Riderscarper a combat staff that doubled as a flying broom. He charged in with the staff using it as a spear as it had a point at the top. As the blow connected sparks flew and he looked at Decade as if to say back up is here before getting flung back from a counterattack.
A Mountain of Hope and Courage
Similar thoughts were in her mind. She’d read somewhere that one of the two people in the couple had to ask the other out, it was more of a part of tradition, she supposed.
Once they got to where they needed to be at the top, maybe she’d ask.
As the trees cleared and the grass soon turned to smooth rock they had reached the top. A cliff overlooking the rest of the forest beyond this point was displayed and the view was breathtaking. A sea of green, waves of leaves rustled as the wind swooped down from the cliff and swept the plain.
"Here is it." He walked up and placed his hand onto his buckle. Connect, Now! Yuzuru placed his hand through the magic circle and pulled out a picnic basket. “I made lunch. Just a couple sandwiches and some donuts.”
"Sugoi.." Yayoi gave as they reached the top. The view was breathtaking. And even though she’d put on her glasses and take a picture..the thrill of seeing it for the first time would always be with her, as well as remembering who she saw it with..
Smiling a bit, she nods as she watches him pull out lunch. ”That’s a good thing. Simple is best.” Nodding, Yayoi continues, “Did you bring any mayo donuts? Or do you like putting on the mayo yourself?”
"They make 'em special. I'd probably mess it up or something if I put it on myself. It is a delicate balance." Taking the blanket out, Yuzuru placed it along the small patch of grass by the cliff. Not to close but just enough to still see the view as they sat.
He reached back into the basket and felt a small box. He had one more surprise and then he would ask. Maybe. He still felt unsure if it was supposed to happen like this. Was he the one to ask? What was he even asking? Must it even need to be asked? Are they already?"
((Hi there. Can I roleplay with you?))
((Hi and of course))
Competing Forces (RandomAssStarterforTheforcedhope)
"Why hello there ,my friend! Goodness, you’re young, aren’t you?" The taller man began circling the smaller boy, looking him up and down curiously.
"Wasn’t expecting that, to be entirely honest. Not that it changes anything. In fact, I almost think you’d be PERFECT. Hmm, but there is the question of whether or not you KNOW what you are? Here, let’s see…" He reached into his pocket and began fussing with his jewel pendant again, turning away slightly from Yuzuru. He’d said all he needed to say, after all.
It’s worth mentioning that, like all the others in his family, Mint was lacking a particularly obvious part of his body- his nose. Between that and his pointed ears, it wasn’t too farfetched for one to suggest or assume that he was, in fact, not human.
Also he was suddenly wearing a long coat and a hat.
"Now then, would you rather attack me first, or shall I give a good swipe at you with my spear to get your blood flowing. Take your time, I’ve all day."
Oh.
"Um Hi." Yuzuru grew nervous as Mint had talked. Something felt off. More so than Yuzuru paying enough attention to notice the inhuman appearance. "Wait, what? I'm not looking for a fight." He slowly reached a hand into his pocket and grabbed his mage ring. If the situation got out of hand he would be ready.
"Just calm down and we can talk this out. You're not a phantom right? And you don't seem the type to go around causing trouble for everyone. We have no reason to fight to be fighting."
