It's time for a change...
Well that's not a big I expected to hear about after they had the pass code bypass issue on iOS 6.1.2!
Should you download iOS 7 ?
I have been asked this by quite a lot of people in the past few days since the public release of iOS 7 last week.
The short answer is YES of course you should.
The new operating system might look very different and you might find some new features here and there, but I’m yet to find any bugs in this version (although I have only used it on the iPhone), and I can’t complain about any of the changes apple have made whatsoever! So go for it, you won’t regret it (once you get used to it)!!
PhoneBlocks
I know that normally I'm all for sleek, cutting edge tech, but I've got to admit I agree with this concept so I'll be signing up!

iOS 7 Release Tomorrow (Hopefully)
It is widely believed that the new operating system for Apple's mobile/tablet devices will be released to the public tomorrow after their keynote.
For any Jailbreakers out there it's time to make a choice! Keep your tweaks, or get this new and completely redesigned stock version of iOS.
Personally I absolutely love the flexibility a jailbreak gives you, but I have been very happy using iOS 7 beta for the past month and a bit! I'd say its worth upgrading, but there could be a long wait before it can be jailbroken...
Ubuntu Edge - Now this is how a phone/PC should work!
This project has got to be worth some money surely?? I think this style of computing could really take off in the future, especially in business. The clean transition between your phone and PC is fantastic. And the best bit is, who needs to sync their Phone with their PC if the phone IS the PC!
iOS 7 is Available For All
So I'm not sure why, but for a while now absolutely anyone has been able to install iOS 7 beta version onto their devices!
Normally only devices which are registered against a developer's licence can be successfully verified during the software update process, but for whatever reason this has been switched off by Apple so get iOS 7 while it's hot!!
Instructions can be found HERE

Youtube blogger Marques Brownlee talks in depth about the origins of a few of the new features in iOS 7
Auxo for iPad - Finally it's here on the big screen!

So... how many current Jailbreak tweaks did you spot incorporated into iOS 7 then?
Here's what came to mind as I watched:
Folder Enhancer - Paging in folders and the whole screen folder design.
Byta Font fonts - All that talk about new fonts, thats not new.
Bits of Intelliscreen X - All those information items in the NC, access to it on the lackscreen etc.
Auxo - The bottom control bar is just Media and Toggles bars of Auxo rolled into one.
CardSwitcher - The Card-like multitasking... just look at the tweak and see for yourself.
DisplayCandy - New animations...
DeepEnd - The parallax effect between icons and background.
A mix of various Winterboard and DreamBoard themes already available in Cydia.
Winterboard Theme - Gyro HD 3 iPhone 5
Switchicon - Well this could be useful...
BatteryDoctorPro - Recently I've noticed that my iPhone's battery life has been getting worse. At first I thought that maybe one or more of the tweaks I had running was causing it, but after uninstalling most of them, leaving just the basics behind, the problem hadn't resolved itself.
BatteryDoctorPro is a tweak that is designed to improve your battery's performance both through toggling your setting according to your current location (home, outside, etc.) as well as inactive time, and even by using clever charging techniques to improve the health of the battery itself!
After using this for a week or two, I am VERY impressed, my battery life has definitely improved, and I have found that the life expectancy that the tweak provides is extremely accurate!
Even though this app has "Pro" in the name, don't be put off, it is free and easy to use, so definitely give it a try!
