Pretty much, but in my defense Batman needs aa break from fighting crime. The job can be pretty stressful.
I, uh, are you high?
I did, and I’ve been doing everything it told me to but no luck. Do they even have stores that sell these? Besides, it’s more fun if making it…well when you actually figure out how to get it to work.
In a silly knick knack store, maybe. Amazon also works wonders. But fine if you want to go through the long act of making it then go right ahead, hope you have plenty of paper for the long series of attempts.
Is it already the new year already? I’ve clearly been hiding in the bat cave for way too long.
Did you just pass out for four days straight?
Yeah. You, Tate, and steak are pretty much his favorite topics of discussion besides football.
I'm more important then Tate, Tate's gone, poof. And that's just because your dad's great and your mom makes good food and whenever I come over I just get to eat anything, which is awesome.
You’ve been saying some really wise lately.
Well, first of all, I'm always wise. It's an act of habit. That's why your dad likes me so much obviously.
Dude, you’re like Gandhi or something.
Damn. That's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me.
I know that, I’m not that stoned Blake. It’s origami, you’re suppose to pull on it’s tail and the wings are supposed to flap or something.
That's stupid. Why don't you just google it then, or buy one that does it for you? It'll save you time from dealing with trying to make paper flap wings.
True. There’s always a bright side, I guess.
Pretty big upside if you ask me. I've seen some gross things over the years and being able to pass that all definitely prevents some physical and emotional scars.
Oh right…like you know how to do it.
It's a paper... No one knows how to do it, because it's not real. It'll never fly, it'll sit on your desk forever.
Why won’t this damn thing fly?
Are you serious?
I’m used to them by now, but it still gets annoying from time to time.
Just gotta grow some thick skin and get over it. There's not really a whole lot you can do when your the Coach's kid, at least you know they won't haze you.
Yep, that’s the plan. And I want to make the team for being good, not because my last name.
Well yeah, kinda hard to gauge that when you've got a little leeway with the man on the sideline but I'm sure you'll prove it. And if some guys give you smack over it, then it's their own fault anyways.
Yeah, I’ve gained a couple of pounds over the break. My dad’s been having me in the gym too.
That's all good, gotta bulk up for next season when the guys are considerably bigger. Aiming for varsity right for the junior year?
There are so many leftovers in my fridge. You gotta love the holidays.
As long as your building muscle then it'll be okay. Gotta start thinkin' of the future, y'know?
Lunch || Madi x Blake
Madi sat in a booth at the Silver Bullet. She sipped her cherry coke through a straw while she waited for Blake. He wasn’t late or anything, Madi was just really early. She got nervous because she never told anyone what goes on in her head or at home. She thought Keegan would be the first one to open her up, but they didn’t last as long as she had hoped.
"Still waiting for your boyfriend?" A waitress, who Madi swore was in her history class, came up to her with a smirk.
"Blake. He’s—-no. He’s a person.." Madi said awkwardly, she wanted to say friend but yesterday she had threatened to kill him in numerous ways so they weren’t on ‘friend’ basis yet.
"Have fun with your person." The waitress left and Madi rolled her eyes as soon as she was gone. Fun was probably the last thing she’d have if this was going to be as emotionally draining as she thought.
Blake really didn't know what to do with himself. It was the offseason for Jameson football, which in retrospect, was the worst time of the year. He really didn't know what to do with himself this time of the year without football, so he spent a majority of his time drawing plays up for next year and watching the professional games on tv, but watching wasn't the same as taking part of it yourself and that was Blake's ultimate goal; He'd reach it eventually. But for now, Blake was stuck in this state of nothingness, which was why he so willingly agreed to go meet Madison at the Silver Bullet. He's never really talked to the girl much before, but she was pretty entertaining to get a rise out of every once and awhile. And what else did he have to do?
After climbing out of his bed and shutting his iPad full of notes and plays, Blake changed into more decent clothing. Fixing his hair a little bit so it wasn't so messy, Blake finally got into his car and drove the very short distance. Parking, he couldn't really look around and try and see if Madison's car was there, seeing how he didn't even know what he drove, but he was on time so he'd see when he got inside. Hopping out, he slipped his hands into the front pocket of his jeans as he walked inside. As soon as he entered he was automatically asked, "How many?" which Blake didn't reply to right away as his eyes scanned the area before landing on the familiar brunette he was looking for. "Nah, I think I'm alright." He muttered, brushing the random waitress off before walking over to Madison. "Hope I didn't keep you waiting too long." Blake said to Madison as he slipped in the opposite side of the booth, glancing down at the menu but not even bothering to open it, he's gone to this place way too many times and knew what he did/didn't like. So instead he rested his head in his hands, looking at the girl in front of him.
Merry Christmas
I’ll see you at noon, Blake.
Sparing the beauty rest? But sounds good, I'll see you then.
Merry Christmas
Of course. So I’ll see you tomorrow?
Yeah, I'll get there at noon, unless you require endless hours of preparation in which I'm gonna need a time.
