The 2019 Short Polls - YOU Get to Decide What Shorts I Make In 2019, and In What Order I Make Them!

Hello, everyone! It’s finally December, which means that this poll finally goes live! This is going to be a HUGE post, because it has a TON of information. I kindly ask that, if you decide to vote, then you dedicate the time to read both how the poll will work, and the synopses below. I have purposely buried the link down at the bottom for this reason - if you’re going to scroll to get to it, you might as well read it anyways!

With that being said, this is really pretty simple. There are 18 shorts - each has a poster giving its general tone, and a synopsis summarizing what the short is about. Of these 18 shorts, only 6 will be made in 2019. The ones made, and the order they are made in, will be determined by the vote results - the highest-voted gets made in February 2019, second-highest-voted made in April 2019, all the way down to the sixth-highest-voted gets made in December 2019.

In the event of ties, I will simply go down the list using whatever tie-breaking mechanism the poll system uses. In the event of a short being unable to be made due to technical reasons, I will skip over it to the next one for that month, and then try it again for the next short.

This poll will be live for the length of December. When I wake up on January 1, I will take a snapshot of the poll and that moment in time and commit to it. I will share the results.

Please only vote for 6 shorts. You can technically vote for all 18, but since I can only make 6, it makes sense for you all to only vote for 6. You may notice there are already a hundred or so votes - that is because I opened it a half-day early to my Patrons. They have received zero benefits to the vote other than early access to it, and their early access has zero impact on the final outcome. Everyone’s votes are equally weighted, Patron or no.

Known Issues Face Pose might be a little funky Her face rigging was something else. I tried my best to make the flexes and fix them the most I could.

Missing waist thingies On her boots, she has some thingies which I can’t remember the name. She also had them in her waist area of her outfit, however, I never found a good balance between the pelvis rig and the thigh rig, so I decided to just remove them. You are going to have fun posing the ones on her boots anyway.

There might be clipping with the zipper Left them because it’s part of the outfit. There’s nothing I can do about them, so good luck. Download her here.

Partial Face Posing

This model didn’t have face bones, but it came with FACS. I let know the submission about this and he said it was ok. Because of the complexity of FACS, a lot of flex lines are lost in translation when the model (any model with FACS) is decompiled. I tried my very best to at least have something to work on.

Known Issues No Dress Bones.

I’m going to be frank and honest in here. One day, I was thinking there was going to be a day where I would not want to rig a skirt or a dress. If that day comes, what would I do?

That day came. It was the day I was fitting her dress. I honestly said I don’t want to rig this dress. So I started thinking about what would I do in order to give people options with the dress, so I decided to do something that would benefit everyone from and that I would use to learn more: bodygroup variations. Her dress comes in three flavors (all with no dress bones):

Regular length for regular parties.

Short length for more teasing.

Shorter to show how slutty she is.

Pulled up for… you know why.

These are my first outfit variations ever. Let me know what you guys think!

No Hair Jigglebones.

This model came with no hair bones. Normally I would try to rig them but hair rig is something so hard it can make jiggles look plenty awful. Believe me. I know my own limitations.

Missing item: Fur

I won’t do it. That shit have an unholy amount of vertices.

Missing item: Pearl necklace.

This necklace is impossible to compile. No matter what I do, it’s always out of position, so I decided to just fucking remove it. Fucking piece of garbage.

Fixing Weird Ambient Occlusion in SFM

So this is something I figured out while working on Rabbit.Hole. It’s a problem that’s plagued me for years, and I never figured out what the cause was or how to fix it until recently.

I have decided to put together a brief infographic solution to it, since I am sure there are others with the same problem.
