When you are on day two of moving two separate houses and it's you, your mom, her boyfriend, your niece and nephew, and your husband, who calls himself "the muscle," and he sprained his ankle and it's huge and swollen. Time to put those 💪🏼 to work. And time to offer beer and pizza to everyone you know. 😝

Despite my anxiety that my words will fail me, I have to post about this situation because I am aggravated by the fact that I don't hear media outlets talking about these racial injustices until policemen are killed. Should the police have been killed? Of course not! But neither should these innocent people have been murdered. I'm trying to remind myself that everyone is doing the best they can with what they have, such as anger and fury at injustice. More open discussion, awareness, education, and resources are needed so that people understand why #blacklivesmatter and that hashtag is not a slight against anyone else!!!!. If people really believe that #alllivesmatter, then it is OK to say black lives matter because those are the ones being targeted. It's uncomfortable to admit there are differences in treatment, but good grief, it's selling souls to pretend those differences don't exist. It's hurtful, and while people may feel #guilty admitting different groups have varying degrees of privileges and barriers, it's #shameful to ignore these. There's a difference between shame and guilt. And, go check out #brenebrown 's statement, as she yet again captures the raw emotions and humanistic meaning making of this situation.

All parents have my respect, and I truly admire parenting, especially across divorced households; but I seriously have no idea how single parents do it, wink, wink, @e_e_poole. We only have pets, and worrying about keeping them cool and writing with no A/C, arranging for the company to come out, driving to the store to purchase new filters just in case- and not being able to locate my debit card or remember the exact filter dimensions... has me so grateful for @clausenscott. Then, there was an infant wailing in the store, and I just can't imagine if I had children in tow also... Thanks for helping me orchestrate it all, babe.
