Tartar smiled, genuinely happy to be around the human. His eyes turned yellow to reflect his happiness.

“I will remember that…But if you would permit it I would like to stick around here. With no other objectives I have, I would enjoy assisting you. It’s possible I have some records from humanity that Orca does not so i’m happy to share those with you as well. 

I could also assist with showing you around the city or other cities if you would like. I’m sure you wish to get out of here sometimes and go shopping or sightseeing.”

His smile falters slightly. Should he let tartar stay here? It does get lonely here sometimes and some company would be great but-

If Orca would find out there would be hell on earth and he honestly does not want- can’t deal with that…

But should he just listen to Orca all the time ?

He takes a deep breath and contemplates his opinions before opening his mouth

“ Sure! I got some spare rooms left , although they need a little bit of cleaning . And I would greatly appreciate it if you would show me around a bit ! I haven’t gotten a real opportunity to do so myself…”

He wasn’t going to mention that it was because of Orca locking him up-

The presence of Orca wasn’t something Tartar hadn’t thought about, he was aware Orca disliked him and other Tartar units…Some more than others. However if he could make a difference here, he wanted to. He wondered if Orca was the reason Nick seemed to tense up slightly when he asked that, but he wasn’t going to pry. 

“Do not worry about the cleaning, I can do it. I appreciate you offering to let me stay here at all. As for going out, I would be honored to show you around. I will also be able to show you various foods you can safely eat, if we go to a market or the like. I heard Nine gave you a little help with foods already, but if we’re out and you see something you like, I will be able to give you a more direct answer.”

 He put his hands together infront of his chest, he was just…so happy.

Nicolas's eyes lit up at the mentioning of food. Sure , nine had already helped him out partially but... he really wants to try the street food he's seen on posters... It's an offer he can't decline.

" Oh really? I would love to eat some different food! No offense to nine by the way! Buy oh lord I already saw some of the goodies on posters and they look so good! I nearly ate the damn poster itself and-"

He then started rambling about all the things he had already seen and wanted to try.

A flyer flies in front of Nick, it reads A Great New City! Come visit Apricoria! A great new city with plenty of sights to see, visit the museums where old Octarian artifacts are held, or play a couple of games of Table Turf at the Dojo and Arena, enjoy battles stretching from the splatlands all the way to Inkadia!

Nicolas picks up the flyer and examines it , the museum being the main thing that catches his attention.

" I wonder if the museum is free... "

He still has no money but actually doing something instead of sulking around seems really attractive

an inkling walks by, “oh you’re thinking about going to Apricoria? i’ve heard that most of the places are free but the gift shops are incredibly expensive…”

He nearly screams by the sudden voice and slowly turns around with wide eyes " O-Oh ? Ah- W-Well good to k-know- "

"Thank you so much for your help making me a new body, Nicolas. You didn't have to do this for me...Especially with everything i've done. With your help, I hope to learn and become better. I'm just so happy to have you as well." Tartar smiled softly at the human, even if his face could only show so much, he was extremely happy.

Nicolas gives a little nervous smile. He is happy seeing tartar but... with Orca still being around sometimes and the others strong distaste for tartar-

" Ah ! Good to see you ! And no problem ... I'm glad I could help ."

He scratches his neck slightly " If you need any repairing done just call me and I will do the job!"

“Hey man, no need to be so nervous.” See replied with a reassuring tone before pouring a cup of tea for Nicolas. He slid the cup to the front of the counter for his guest to take.

“You’re totally okay in here. Look around, sip some tea- if you need’ta sit down, I can get you a chair.” A rather comfortable looking barstool seemingly slid itself up to the other side of the counter.

He took the cup presented to him into his hands , the warm tea inside feeling pleasant on his skin .

“T-Thank you b-but I’m okay with just uh- standing and looking around-”

He noticed the barstool moving towards the other side of the counter. Was he… seeing things or did it just move on its own? He didn’t take a sip of his tea yet so it definitely wasn’t because of that…

Nicolas shakes his head slightly. He was completely losing his mind .

He starts looking around the shop , taking in all the things on the shelves until his eyes halt by a familiar looking object. Was this … a human artifact?

Moving close , he looks at the artifact more intensely. No doubt. This is a human artifact. But how….

“Lotta old human stuff’s been dug up, y’know. I’m really fascinated by what they left behind.” See sipped his own cup of tea while he watched Nicolas look around the shop.

It’s completely obvious to the sea urchin that his visitor is a human in disguise- See’s absolutely thrilled at that fact, but he doesn’t want to scare his guest away. He can clearly sense that there’s a lot going on with this guy- and he wants to help.

Nicolas is quiet for a while , contemplating what to say next. He can't buy anything because he got no money...and the artifacts bring back those haunting voices again. Voices that are familiar and tries to ignore the best he could , but the longer he thinks about the past the louder the voices get.

He quickly gulps down the tea , not caring how much it burned his throat. He needed a distraction...

"H-Huh...why's that? I m-mean- why are you interested in what they left behind? They are all dead anyways."

He hopes that the other doesn't notice the way he clings to the mug for his dear life.

Nicolas slowly walks into the shop , wearing an oversized hoodie with the hood up , a face mask and some comfy pants.

He hopes that he doesn't look too suspicious...

See hears the shop's door chime go off and calls out from the back room.

"Yo, welcome to seebreeze curios! I'll be at the counter in a sec, feel free to look around."

A few minute later, See would come out to the front counter as promised,

"Hey there. After anything in particular? Would you like a cup of tea?"

He perks up as he heard the other call out to him. God damn it... he just has to stay calm and hope that his clothes hide his human appearance enough.

"Uh.. I- ahem Hi and uhh.. I'm just looking around t-thank you ... but tea sounds nice!"

It was a while since he had tea... the last time being-

He shakes away those thoughts as quickly as they came . He doesn't need to get emotional right now.

Nine: Hey Orca, I found this plant...(Holds up a Mistletoe) and I read that in human culture, if a couple was found under said plant they could receive a kiss? Is this true?

Orca: " Yes it's indeed true. Let me show you."
