Just a side blog for the things that don't fit my main :) Attention: This blog is going to be messy and is going to contain a lot of very different fandoms! Just so you know before you follow :)
Not sure if you are still publishing stories, but I have just read the two you have on here and really liked them☺️ just thought I’d share that with you. Thanks so much for them and - should you write more - I will be thrilled!
Thank you! That really means a lot to me! <3 I still have some Witcher/Cahir related stuff in my drafts so hopefully I'll finish those soon. Inspiration sadly comes and goes. Since this is a side blog and I intended to post other fandoms as well, my drafts are a mess. But I started rewatching The Witcher recently so maybe the creative juices will start flowing again! Thank you for this kind message!
plot: Cahir interrupts your sparring training. You're keen to get him off his feet... one way or the other.
warnings: smut, unprotected sex (be safe irl! always!), rough, fighting, blood, swords, violence, Cahir being an asshole but he’s hot so it’s okay
You were panting heavily as your opponent stumbled backwards. Pulling his feet had been a dirty move but you were not training for a show fight. You were training for the battlefields. Nobody cared if you fought fairly on the battlefield, the only goal was to win the battle or at least to be alive long enough to take out a large number of enemies.
The man you had been training with for the past hour sat up on the ground, not moving to get up any time soon. "Already done?", you asked, a smile on your lips as the brunette squinted up at you, the sun behind your form blinding him. "I liked it better when you were the one to eat shit." You chuckled and offered him a hand to stand up which he gladly took. Once he was up you dusted his shoulders off, the dry dirt coming off in dust clouds. Only a few months ago he had easily knocked you down in the first few minutes but you had learnt a lot since then. Countless hours of training, blood, sweat and tears had brought you to where you were now.
As you both laughed you noticed a familiar figure in the corner of your eye. You knew in an instant who it was. Tall, lean frame and dressed in all black. His hair was parted in the middle, loose curls framing his face. He radiated an aura anyone felt from a mile away.
Cahir.
The black knight had returned recently. He had been in a sorry state when he came back to Cintra but now he looked like his old self. Grumpy, serious, ready to kill anyone not obeying his orders.
You loathed him.
Cahir had been in charge of training you and a few other soldiers when you first arrived. He had made it his goal to personally torment each and every one of you. Starting with harsh training and even harsher punishment if somebody fucked up in the slightest bit. There had been one time one of the recruits didn't show up on time and was evidently still a bit drunk once he finally showed up. Cahir had punished all of you for it. And that was not even the tip of the iceberg. Cahir was trying to mock the recruits every chance he got. It was his way of teaching them, trying to get them to not make the same mistake twice - and it usually worked - but it was still cruel in your opinion. He had beat your ass more than once, knocking you to the ground with a single swipe of the wooden sword. Or he mocked you, hitting your head with the wooden sword for being too slow.
"In a real battle, you'd be dead... and I was already going easy on you. Who thought it was a good idea to recruit you?"
Those had been his exact words to you. But that had been over two years ago. You had worked your way up, getting higher ranks and improving your fighting skills by a lot.
"You know, your style of fighting is quite similar to his.", your sparring partner said, his eyes fixed on Cahir and then you.
"Don't say his name, it will summon him. Like a demon.", you joked but there was truth to it. Cahir seemed to have a sixth sense.
"It's true though. The way you turn a block into a counterattack. It's very fluid. The only person I've seen who does it like that is him.", the man wiped the sweat off his forehead. You scoffed. "I have as much in common with him as I have with a fucking goat. Admittedly, I'd rather die than be similar to him. I mean, have you seen-" -
"That could be arranged."
You turned around slowly, your blood running cold. Oh, had you only shut your mouth when you had the chance. Before you stood Cahir, eyebrows raised as he waited for your explanation. You truly had summoned him like a demon it seemed.
“I see the two of your are having a bit of a break. Care to explain why?”
You looked at your partner who met your gaze before turning to Cahir again. You opened your mouth to speak but you were interrupted. “She knocked me down and helped me up, that’s all. We were discussing counterattacks after that.”
“And why are you so keen on dying?” Cahir turned to you, blocking your partner from the conversation. “I- I was just joking around.”
“If you have time to joke around you must be done with training, I assume? Surely you would not waste your time talking if you weren’t already a skilled fighter?” You knew he just wanted to get a reaction out of you, preferably fear.
“Fight me.”, he then said, drawing his sword. “Not with that. A real sword.”, he said, pointing to the wooden training sword in your right hand. You looked at your partner who just silently observed. “You can go train with the others.”, Cahir told him and with a quick nod your partner scurried away. You swallowed heavily as you went to pick out a sword from where they were displayed at the side of the training field. You went with a thinner and lighter sword, easier to handle and you knew Cahir was fast. You needed a sword that could be handled just as fast.
“Okay, the rules. You are not going to hold back. I’m not going to hold back either. I imagine you must like that idea? Seeing how you loathe me so much?” His intense gaze burned through you like a hot knife through butter. Was he really going all in? Ready to kill you? What would happen if you somehow got the upper hand? Not that you thought that would happen but if you did, would you just... kill him? Surely that would get you executed.
“Are you just going to stand there?”, he said and you watched as he got into position, his feet digging into the dry ground. He looked terrifying like this. Sure, you had fought him before but this was different. He was actually going to fight you this time. You got into position as well and as soon as Cahir deemed you were ready he attacked. Taken aback by the sudden force you stumbled back, almost loosing your footing. Cahir didn’t leave off like one usually would in a training fight. Instead he attacked again, his sword hitting yours with a loud noise. You could feel the eyes of several other people on you but you had no time to look who it was. Of course a real fight with real swords would attract attention. You felt yourself being pushed more and more back which was dangerous seeing how he had the upper hand and your back was almost to the wall. When he raised his sword again, ready to strike, you jumped to the side, his blade cutting through the air where you had been standing just half a second ago.
Oh, he was being completely serious right now.
You quickly rounded him, trying to get him from behind but he was quick, swirling around, his sword missing your abdomen by an inch. You stumbled back further, luckily in the middle of the field again. When Cahir attacked again you were more prepared, blocking his attacks easily at first but he was hitting with such force and strength you quickly grew tired. With a low strike Cahir caught you off guard, slicing through the fabric of your trousers and the first layer of skin beneath them. You were surprised that he had actually injured you, you knew that he was being serious but it still caught you by surprise. You could hear the crowd gasp in the background.
Both of you were panting when he backed off for a moment, trying to compose himself. You swallowed but your throat was so dry you felt the need to cough. Once again distracted, Cahir attacked you, hitting you in the head with the hilt of his sword, making you stumble backwards, your sword slipping from your hands. You tried to grab it but Cahir was too fast, stepping on the blade so you couldn’t pick it up. Oh god this was it, you thought as you raised your fists, ready to fight with your bare hands. A unfamiliar expression flickered over Cahir’s face. He seemed.. surprised? He stepped forward again, bringing the blade down, but you stopped his arms with your hands, pushing them to the side and thereby deflecting the blow. You then kicked him in his abdomen, making him stumble back slightly. You took the opportunity to grab your sword but before you could get back up Cahir hit you in the face with the hilt of his sword again, sending you to the ground. You landed on your ass with a loud thud and a wave of pain rippled through your spine. Cahir stood above you, raising his sword, ready to bring the blade down on you, but you rolled to the side, the blade meeting the ground next to your head. Your hand was so close to your sword, if only you could reach it.
Anger flared in Cahir’s eyes as he brought the blade up again, this time ready to kill you. In the very last moment, your fingers found your sword and you swung it upwards, hitting Cahir’s sword to the side and slicing his face in the process. He seemed taken aback that you acutually managed to get him, and so close to it being fatal. You took the opportunity to roll out from beneath him, knocking his legs away which sent him stumbling to the ground. He was quick to react and swung his sword but you blocked. And then you did something that Cahir was not used to seeing other people do other than himself. Using the momentum of the block, you turned it into a counter attack, knocking him to the ground completely.
You were panting as you stood over him, your sword at his throat. You had actually done it. You had kicked his ass! You looked around to see the spectators in awe as well. You were so proud of yourself when suddenly something grabbed your legs.
You were thrown to the ground aggressively, your head hitting the ground so hard you saw double for a moment. You felt Cahir grab your arms and turn you over so that you were lying on your stomach. He pressed your arms to your back painfully. His body was pressed to yours from behind and you felt his hot breath against your neck and then the cold steel of his sword.
“Never let your guard down like that. The fight was far from over, darling.”, he rasped into your ear. He let you go, picking up your sword before you could, not that you intended to continue the fight.
Cahir walked away, wiping the blood off his cheek. Your sparring partner came running to where you were laying, checking if you were alright.
“I can’t believe you beat his ass like that!”
“But he won. Got me real good at the end there.”, you said, getting up with the help from your partner. “Still. You did well.” He smiled at you almost proudly but noticed your dazed expression. “We better get you to the healers, huh?”
“Yes please.”
You walked into the room where the healers usually were, your head pounding and the wound on your leg burning. Cahir had been serious when he had said he would not hold back. You looked up, expecting to see the healers when you met cold blue eyes.
“Cahir.”, it was more of a statement than a question and you felt dumb as you said it out loud. “You could have died. You were lucky I was not as serious about it as I said I was.”, he sneered, a trail of blood running down his cheek. The wound was not deep, it probably wouldn’t even leave a scar but it was bleeding more than what you would have expected. You furrowed your eyebrows at his statement. “I could say the same to you. You just can’t admit that I am a good fighter.” Where you got the courage to talk to him like that, you didn’t know. Perhaps it was because you hit your head so hard. Cahir walked towards you, standing so close you could feel the warmth radiating off his body.
“Don’t get cocky. You were lucky.”
“Just admit that I was a worthy opponent.”
You suddenly felt hot as he stared into your eyes. You had never been so close to him before, never noticed his sharp features. You had to admit, he was quite handsome. Of course you would never tell him that.
“I could have easily brought you down to your knees in the first few seconds if I had really wanted to.”, he murmured, his eyes never leaving yours. “Then why didn’t you? I thought you were not holding back.”
Cahir snarled before pressing his lips to yours in a heated kiss. You were taken aback by how agressive the kiss was but you retuned it, grabbing his neck. His hands snaked around your waist, pulling you flush against his body.
Thank god the healers weren’t there right now.
You kissed him back fiercly, all the tension that had built up at an all time high. With a smirk you bit down on his lower lip. He groaned and pulled back, a smirk on his lips as he watched you smile to yourself proudly. “Don’t get too cocky.”, he said and grabbed your body again, lifting you up so that your legs were on either side of him. He sat you down on the edge of a table and with one swipe cleared it off multiple potions. You gasped at the loud noise but he didn’t seem to care, too distracted with kissing you. His lips were softer than what you had expected. He started placing kisses down your throat, nipping at the skin here and there, getting you to gasp slightly. Oh how much he liked, no, craved you like this.
He began to undress you, his hands roaming your body to his hearts content. You moaned as he kissed down to your collarbone, biting the thin skin there. You threw your head back and buried your hand in his hair, tugging at the loose curls. Your other hand started to undress him as well, opening up his robe to reveal his undershirt and trousers. He then pressed his hips to your middle, a breathy moan escaping you at the contact. He smirked into the crook of your neck, his hands busying themselves with undressing you further. You lifted your hips off the table so that he could pull down your trousers, revealing your arousal to him. Cahir almost came at the sight.
You quickly got rid of his shirt, unlacing the front of his trousers to grab his own arousal. He moaned into your ear as you slid your hand up and down his length, twisting your hand around the tip. As Cahir couldn’t wait any longer he got rid of his pants, turning to kneel down in front of you but you stopped him.
“Not now. Later. I want you. I need you.”, you said, your hand on his shoulder.
“Are you sure? I want to taste you.”, he whispered. “Later, I promise. Right now, I want this.” You grabbed his length again and he throbbed at the contact. You spit into your hand, sliding the saliva along his length as you positioned him at your entrance. He pushed inside carefully, letting you adjust to his size before pushing further. It stung a little due to the lack of foreplay but the pleasure soon drowned out everything else as his length sat deep inside you. He pressed kisses to the corner of your mouth and your neck, slowly pulling out before pushing back in. He found a steady rhythm that worked for him and your hands grabbed at his back, one hand grabbing his shoulder while the other was in his hair, tangled in his curls.
“Fuck.”, he rasped as he thrusted up into you, his thrusts getting quicker. You bit down on his shoulder as with each thrust he reached that one spot inside you. Muffled moans escaped your throat as Cahir grabbed your hips, pressing them to his own with every thrust. Your legs curled around his hips, pushing him closer to your body. His thrusts slowed for a moment as he laid you back on the table, your hot back against the cold wood, as he leaned over you, searching for your lips. He was so deep inside you it felt like you were going to pass out from the pleasure. He started thrusting again, your hands pressing his head into the crook of your neck. One of his arms was slung around your waist, angling up your hips even more, letting him hit that special spot in you.
“Oh, shit. Cahir- fuck!”, you moaned out as one of his hands traveled down your body until it reached where the two of you were connected. He began playing with your most sensitive part, making you clench down on him harshly. He gasped as you got so tight around him it was hard to move.
“Ah- fuck. You keep doing that I’m not going to last.”, he rasped.
You smirked as you clenched down on him again, making his rhythm falter. He continued to pleasure you with his length and his hand and you felt your peak approach rapidly. Everything felt hot and the tension in your abdomen was building so quickly you didn’t even have time to tell him. All that you got out was muffled moans and parts of his name.
Your peak crashed down on you like molten lava. It washed over you with such a force you couldn’t even moan, instead your mouth hung open in a silent scream. Cahir, trying to get you through your peak without coming, couldn’t take it anymore and came with a throaty groan. He collapsed against your spent body with heavy breaths. You felt him throb inside you, still hard.
“Fuck.”, he cursed as he removed himself from your heat, grabbing a cloth that laid on a nearby chair. He helped you clean yourself.
Both of you dressed in silence, helping each other put on your clothing and making sure you looked presentable. The ache of your wounds was returning now, having been forgotten the entire time. Shortly after you were done one of the healers burst into the room, hands full of vials.
As she saw the two of you her brows were raised. You swallowed as she eyed the two of you suspiciously and then the mess on the floor from when Cahir had cleared the table. You met his gaze and he smirked at you, thinking the same thing he was. She definitely knew.
“How can I help you?”
“So, are you going to admit that I kicked your ass now?”
“Why would I? It would be a lie.”, Cahir said his brows raised, acting all innocent.
“You’re no fun.”
“Well, maybe tonight you can try again to get me to my knees. Just make sure nobody catches you entering my quarters.” And with that Cahir walked off, a smirk on his lips as he knew you were watching him walk away.
Oh, you would definitely take him up on that offer.
plot: Cahir wakes up from a nightmare and can’t find you anywhere. He fears the worst.
warnings: blood, nightmare, implied death, out-of-character Cahir, sappy stuff™ ugh, also first time writing Cahir im sorry
“Leave them!”, Cahir yells as the faceless creature approaches you. He runs in your direction - tries to - but it feels like he’s barely getting any closer. The creature on the other hand is taking big strides towards your unprotected form cowering on the ground. Your hands are pressed to your chest like you are already wounded.
Had he not been there for you? But he had been by your side the entire time!
The creature’s form seems to contort and twist as if itself was not sure what it wants to be. Cahir yells out in frustration as he drags his body towards you, lifting one foot after the other. It is like they are rooted to the ground. He wants to lift his sword but it’s so heavy in his hand he can barely lift it.
“Cahir.”, you whimper, your eyes searching for his. Cahir shouts, screams as he tries to rip himself free from the invisible restraints holding him back. Why can’t he move?
The creature, now in front of you, lifts its heavy sword above its head, the rusty blade seemingly slicing through the air. “Cahir, I am scared! Why aren’t you helping me?” - “I’m trying! I- I can’t move!!”, he stammers, tears brimming in his eyes. He hears whispers behind him, ugly accusations claiming he is going to leave you to die. They penetrate his mind, sending more and more tears to his eyes. He pulls against the restraints again. It feels like he is ripping his own limbs off in the process but he doesn’t stop. He manages to move closer, closer until he is finally almost within reach. He tries to lift his sword again, but the steel suddenly feels wet and soft, almost slimy. As he looks down, he’s holding flesh. He wants to drop it, disgusted and scared, but his hand won’t open. Instead it seems to close even tighter around the bloody piece.
“I trusted you! I loved you!”, your voice sounds ugly now. Like the whispers that penetrate his head. It’s gravely and echoes in his head.
And as the creature brings down the blade suddenly, Cahir notices that it has been the hand of your dead body he has been holding.
Cahir startles awake, taking in big gulps of air. He feels like he has been trampled by a horse. Sweat clings to every part of his body and what he assumes is a tear rolls over his cheek. He tries to calm himself but the images run fresh through his mind, torturing him with his worst fear.
He wipes the tears and sweat off his face as he rolls over, his hand searching for your body on the other side of the bed. When he only feels the cool bedsheets he panicks, sitting up in bed trying to see if maybe you just moved farther away from him like you sometimes do when it’s too hot. The first rays of sunlight from the rising sun are barely enough to see anything clearly but as he looks over to your side of the bed, the bed looks like it has not been touched at all. The sheets are less crinkled and your scent is missing. Cahir freezes as he once again pictures the horrible scene that played out in front of him in his dream.
No. No, this can’t be!
You are alive! Surely this was just a bad dream and not a distant memory he is trying to forget. But Cahir can’t be sure. Too many times have memories haunted his dreams. It would not be the first time he dreams of past battles and people he met and lost on the battlefield.
Cahir calls out your name then, sitting up in bed and searching your shared quarters with his eyes. His heart starts to beat faster again as worry and doubt fill his head. He can’t lose you! He has lost too much already. Losing you... he would not be able to cope after that. His breathing is ragged as he starts looking for clothing he can put on fast enough. He ends up just wearing a cloak over the clothes he slept in. The drenched fabric still clings to his skin and is starting to feel cold, way too cold to walk around in, but he has to find you. He has to make sure you are still...there.
He rushes out of your shared room and follows the hallways endlessly, seemingly getting lost in them in his daze. Nobody else is awake at this early hour. He doesn’t even come across any guards, or maybe he just ignores their presence. He only has one thing on his mind and that is finding you.
He runs through the hallways for what feels like hours though it might have only been minutes. His nightmare is still fresh in his mind and makes his eyes sting. Where are you? How can you just be gone? Like the earth swallowed you whole.
He runs through the hallways even quicker, guards looking at him weirdly but he doesn’t acknowledge their presence, tears are now filling his eyes again and had he been in a normal state of mind he would have cared if somebody saw him like this but he didn’t even begin to think about what he must look like right now.
After running through the maze of hallways he ends up in a dead end. His shoulders rise and fall with each heavy breath as he tries not so sob.
He lost you. It wasn’t a dream. He lost you and he was too delusional to notice it before. He will never see you again. He will never be able to hold you again, to kiss you again and to tell you that he lo-
“Cahir? What are you doing here?”
He turns around so fast his vision blurs for a moment. And there you are, standing in front of him, a mug in your hand. Before you can even say anything Cahir wraps you in a tight embrace. You are more than surprised to say the least. Cahir is always quite reserved in public, trying to keep private matters private, but right now he holds your frame so tightly yet so tenderly that you know something is off. You are the one to break free from the hug. He doesn’t seem to want to let you go but you want to look at his face. His eyes are red from crying and he looks pale.
“What happened, my love?”, you ask, stroking his cheek lovingly and Cahir melts into your touch. “You-... I-... I’m so sorry. I was not able to-... forgive me.”
This is not the first time you have seen Cahir like this, it just has never been this bad before. Bad dreams are nothing unusual for soldiers and Cahir has had plenty of them but this one seems to have been particularly bad.
“It’s alright, everything is fine now. Let’s go somewhere more private. I think you could use a bit more sleep. I brought you a cup of tea because you were shivering next to me.”, you explain and Cahir grabs your hand as you walk him back to your quarters.
You close the door behind him and help him get changed out of his clothes. You don’t press for details right away because you know he will tell you when he feels ready. Right now he’s just thankful that you are by his side.
Alive and well.
“I love you”, he tells you as he presses a kiss to the corner of your mouth.
“I know you do.”, you say cheekily, earning a grin from the knight. “And you know that I love you just as much.”
