Malcolm Liepke at Arcadia Contemporary.
Opening on October 22nd, 2016 at Arcadia Contemporary in Los Angeles, California is artist Malcolm Liepke’s first West Coast exhibition in 10 years, “Recent Work.”
In these new works, Liepke adheres to familiar tropes of contemplative women and men while employing a lighter and cooler palette than he normally uses. Limbs, garments and faces arrive in striking compositions with a distinctly contemporary atmosphere pervading these images. Stark pastels and bold primaries hang in a unique balance around the figures in Liepke’s constellation of bodies.
“Recent Work” will be on display until November 9th, 2016.
