I’ll raise my hand, mine too. Though sometimes I’ve even been known to eat the cookie dough instead of baking it.
Isn’t it better that way, though? Why bake an already perfectly good dessert?

Questions don’t bother me. I’m a professor too so questions are something I’m use to. If the theory of general relativity was disproved…it was would be monumental. The theory has held firm for decades, to have something act against it would likely provoke mass discussion and action to try and observe a result that replicates the first.
Our way of thinking how the universe works would have to change.
Cool! And shiiiiiiit, as long as it’s not gonna be catastrophic for the earth then it’d be pretty cool of you guys to be able to be the ones to find that out. I imagine it’d keep you occupied for like, ever.

Oh, well if you’re my soulmate you must be a pretty good cook also.
I mean, when I have the time I’m definitely not too shabby. I’m no Gordon Ramsay, but I can follow a recipe.
tomlinotracey:
I can’t even remember the last time I went shopping. Probably not a bad idea to pick up some new clothes… I just feel like it’s painfully time consuming.
Then I’m pretty sure that means you need to go shopping, even if it’s a little time consuming at least you’ll have an updated closet. Why not come out with me, huh? Even if it’s to look, and there’s no harm in that.
adrasteiacurthsabr:
Hah that is true! But I bet you had tons of it that night.
I did experience the kind of hangover that I haven’t had in many, many years so there were many drinks put into my body, yes. It was fun, though, I was happy to see everyone that came out.
msemilywright:
I am from Seattle originally, so it was nice to see my parents and such. So far it’s been more or less like I remember.
Oh, good! It’s awesome that you got to see everyone, I’m sure it was refreshing. And I mean, no change is good, right? Assuming it was good when you were there.
JUST RELAX | Octavian & _____
August 20th 2017
It hadn’t even been a full week and Octavian was already to pull his hair out. Mr. Boss Man had to take a leave which meant that the dumbass Assistant Manager was in charge, and while the guy was nice Octavian was pretty sure he didn’t have any sense whatsoever. The schedule was gonna be shitty, the hours were going to wonky, and nothing was going to run smoothly. Everyone who worked for Mika knew that when he took a step away things would descend into chaos, and when chaos came waltzing around the corner people knew they didn’t really have a leader to turn to. So, with his hero complex in place and a knack for keeping people happy, Octavian stepped in as discreetly as possible and took charge under the table.
That did, of course, mean that his stress levels were through the roof, and for working what felt like his sixteenth hour, Octavian felt like he just needed a second. Or an hour, and hour would be nice. It was upon having a drink spilled down the front of him -- at no one’s fault, but he was still quick to irritate at the moment -- that he realized he needed to take his dinner break before he snapped at someone who didn’t deserve it. With a dismissal wave of his hand and a gruff “It’s fine.”, the man took a deep breath and simply turned on his heel, heading right for the back door and escaping into the cool air of the night. There he immediately paused, letting the light chill lift the sticky sheen of sweat on his skin before jogging down the short staircase and headed right for the dumpster. It was easy camouflage, the smell of whatever the Hell was in those bags masking pretty much anything and everything that went near it, which meant the joint Octavian pulled from the back of his pocket was going to go mostly unnoticed.
A quick flick of his lighter and Octavian sucked in a deep breath, eyes crossing at the middle to watch the end of the joint glow a bright red before he pulled it away between two fingers, his arm resting at his side. He turned, all of his weight leaning into his shoulder that pressed into the brick wall beside him, and after holding in the smoke in his lungs a second longer he blew it out. Nearly immediately Octavian let himself melt into the wall, his free hand coming up to rub his throbbing temple only to find himself jumping when he heard his name come from behind him. He turned fast, pretending he was definitely not holding a join in the hand that was behind his back and he looked over, blinking through the darkness to try and make out the mass. Once adjusted a familiar face shone under the dim lightning and Octavian grinned, suddenly less worried and he strolled over to the friendly figure.
“Hey! What’s up? Come out for a few drinks?”
msemilywright:
I was in Seattle for a while, just going to school and catching up with some people. I feel like I was kind of cut off from the Network for a long time, but thankfully I am here again.
Oh, cool! Did you enjoy it? And that you are! Is it like you remembered?
princexfdenmark:
It’s a long trip between Denmark and Los Angeles and while we’ve travelled with him before he was much younger.
She’s an earth bound angel. We actually went to Spain which…is rather bittersweet now.
Well, I assume the more he does the more he’ll get used to it, right? So it’s a pain in the ass now but he’ll be a natural by age two or something like that.
Yeah, what’s been happening is an absolute tragedy, I can’t believe it. I know it’d be hard, but at least you’ll always have those memories of Spain as they move forward from this.
marcus-trilling-phd:
If it moves in a way it’s not suppose to then it’ll disprove the theory of relativity.
Welp, I’d hate to see that get disproved. I hope I’m not bugging you with the questions, but what steps would you and your team take if it was disproved? I’m really sorry if these are ridiculous, but I’m kinda into this.
RIP to all of my fitted dress pants.
It’s been Squat City in the workout department the last month, and considering I’ve been in stretchy jeans and sweats for the most part of it I hadn’t really noticed much growth in anything. Consider me surprised when I tried to fit myself back into formal wear for this evening.
I don’t really see it as a problem, but it is a problem for my current wardrobe. Therefore a shopping spree is in order, and I’d be happy to go anywhere if there is anyone interested in joining me? I can promise a show.
tomlinotracey:
Finishing work early on a Friday is both unheard of and disappointing for me. I can’t remember the last time I needed to find something to do on a Friday because bars weren’t open. What exactly do normal people do on a Friday?
Grab something to eat, visit a beach, do some shopping. Actually, I think shopping would be your best bet, if only because I’m thinking it’s a good idea now.
princessofdenmark:
I never post pictures of myself, mostly because I prefer being behind the lens, but I like this picture so viola! I think it was taken while I was out shopping for school supplies. Anyway, who is ready for autumn? I know I am.
Girl, if you look this good school shopping I’m pretty sure you’d be a complete stunner anywhere else. Seriously? This is just unfair.
msemilywright:
I finally made the big move back to Los Angeles, and I couldn’t be happier to be back home. To celebrate the occasion I took a selfie and decided to share it with The Network. It’s been three years but let me tell you that some things never change. I look forward to catching up with old friends and making some new ones.
Where’d you move from?
But hey! Welcome back! Pretty sure we didn’t know each other back then ‘cause this is still kinda’ new to me, but glad to have you back.
Open; anyone
amelia-lockheartx:
I seriously just cook too much food when I can’t sleep, it’s ridiculous. You’d think I was cooking for someone other than myself.
Are you cooking for me? Your long lost food soulmate?
princexfdenmark:
Well it was to be expected. Babies can’t deal with jet lag like we can.
Yeah we got to do a whole bunch with the family and then Kai surprised me with a few days holiday too.
I can barely deal with jet lag so I imagine it’d be awful for a little one. Then again, I’m kind of a baby myself so it makes sense.
What a sweetheart. I’ve only talked to her a few times but she seems like an incredible human being. Did you guys do anything special?
eirlyspowell:
That’s cool! I just am too much of a live in the moment person, half my food is junk. Oh well.
I mean I can’t really blame you, junk food is delicious. I don’t eat healthy all the time, so I do gorge out more often than I’d like. Mostly baked goods, those are my downfall.
