Dan, you're my friend, so I'm not going to get into an argument on the merits of The Big Bang Theory with you. No good can come of it. All I'll say is that I'm not sure what the relationship between that show and this petition is.

Alternately, I never realized NCIS was a sitcom, but it all makes sense now.

One day someone at Dark Horse asked if I was interested in writing a story about young Hellboy. I wasn’t, but instead of saying no, I said “What about two pages of Hellboy eating pancakes?” I thought it was a riot. I didn’t expect anyone else to like it, but it turned out to be a big hit with a lot of readers. It’s nice when that happens.

Is the Sentry series worth reading? I vaguely remember reading a trade with the Sentry that seemed mostly to be him and the Hulk standing by a bridge waiting for some big bad to show up (possibly the Sentry's other half enemy). Mostly I remember him being a terrible character.

That original Paul Jenkins/Jae Lee mini-series and its attendant one-shots was really good. It stands as one of my favorite 'event' stories, although I guess some people were pissed about the bait and switch element of the premise.  It's a really well-done story about addiction and growing old and it's definitely the best thing Jenkins has written.

However, bringing the character into the Marvel Universe afterwards was a huge misstep because, without the nuance of the original miniseries, he's just Crazy Superman Who Throws Things Into The Sun, and Dark Avengers right up into the end of Siege feels like a convoluted escape from the corner the character had been painted into by putting him on the Avengers. 

Age of the Sentry plays in the same meta-narrative playground that the original miniseries does, but it's Jeff Parker and therefore amazing, and also a ton less maudlin. Definitely worth reading (unlike the other post-event Sentry miniseries floating around out there).
