So the last time I watched Barbie as Rapunzel I noticed something interesting about my favorite dress. It’s the first one she makes and I always thought the design was the most elegant.

Like, look at that! It’s gorgeous! I understand why this wasn’t the final dress (it would’ve been harder to make for the dolls) but I always felt like it was the more beautiful of the two.

Then I noticed something at the end of the film.

This image is as blurry as hell but her mom is wearing the same dress!!!

She recreated the fashion of her home. The dress of her mother! Like there are a few differences, but fashion evolves and her mother is older and a queen.

I have so many feelings y’all.

Also Rapunzel says that this dress is “too simple”, which never made sense to me, but look at the details on her mothers dress.

The lace at the collar and cuffs, the beading at the neckline, and the lattice on the sleeves, she did make a simpler version!

It’s such a small detail but it adds such a lovely little depth to this dress. I love it even more now.

Too many people talking abt Will Sad Gayboy Byers being heartbroken by his unrequited crush on his best friend and not enough of you talking abt how his big brother clocked it immediately and then gave him an impassioned speech abt how he loves him unconditionally and nothing will ever (meaningful eyecontact) ever change that and Will smiling and softly weeping as they hug bc he knows that no matter what he'll always have his brother.
