Don't You Ever Wish to Be a Tree?
In order to avoid any misunderstandings, let me tell you what I think a tree does: it grows, and that's about it. It grows without thinking much about how thick its trunk is or how long its branches are. I'm convinced a tree doesn't think at all, about anything.
A tree is not concerned with how it looks to other trees, and what its role is in the forest..
A tree will turn green in the spring and bear fruit in the summer. It will shed leaves in the fall and sleep throughout the winter. By its genetic make up, a tree is given time to do everything it can, and it's told when to do it and how. It can do its thing the same way, year after year, without being judged dull by other trees.
A tree can dress the same every season in the same clothes as other trees without being asked to act its gender.
A tree just grows, how simple is that. Imagine growing was the only thing on your schedule. All I have to say for myself at this point is: I make a pretty decent tree.

I cried yesterday. I cried for a half an hour nonstop. It had to happen, I guess.
I came here on August 17, 2013 at about 8 p.m. I'd rather come at any other time, but this day was chosen for me. Nine months later I cried because of it not knowing how to stop.
For nine months I could just watch you struggling with something that may or may not have been too much for you. I'll never know. I just think you weren't honest with me that one time I offered you a hand. I never dared to repeat it.
