Relationship Exploration Spread by intuitive-witch
Here’s a nine-card spread that you can use to gain insight into a relationship. It’s always good to take a step back and reflect on your relationships: what makes you work, what you struggle with, where it is heading, and more. While this spread is a good place to start, it shouldn’t be a replacement for an honest talk with your loved one. I made this spread with friendships in mind, but it could also be applied to romantic or familial relationships.
1. Theme of Relationship - What’s the overall theme to your bond? Fun, hardship, mentorship, romance, or something else entirely? If you feel called to do so, you may want to pull an oracle card for this position.
2. Your Feelings/Experience - How does this relationship affect you? What feelings does it elicit?
3. Their Feelings/Experience - How does this relationship affect the other person? How do they feel about the relationship?
4. What Bonds You - What’s that special thing that attracted the two of you together in the first place and continues to keep you connected?
5. Your Qualities - These are your positive qualities in the relationship. It’s what you offer to the other person.
6. Your Shortcomings - These are the areas you may need to work on as it could negatively impact the relationship. It’s not always easy to acknowledge our shortcomings, but it’s so worth it for the ones we love.
7. Their Qualities - These are the positive qualities of the other person in the relationship. It’s the stuff that makes them a desirable friend/partner/etc.
8.Their Shortcomings - These are the parts of the other person that may negatively impact you and the relationship. It’s good to be aware of these areas to keep an eye out for unhealthy behavior.
9. Outcome of Relationship - This is a fairly open card, so use your intuition. The outcome might be how the relationship will end, a potential lesson of the relationship, the long-term impact of knowing them, or the state the relationship will evolve into (marriage, partnership, roommates, etc).
I hope this spread is helpful to you! Feel free to use and share (giving credit, of course) as you wish. If you have questions about the spread, my ask is always open.
