therapy cage- yes, these are real. Controversial and rarely used anymore, but legit.
-asleep in the rec room drooling-
-cocks an eyebrow- And who was that?
The idiot new guard. The one with the loud mouth.
Conversations || Para || Miller/Bradley
The hot water ran over his body, rinsing the soap from his skin. Against the coolness of the air in the standing-room only shower the warmth felt welcoming, refreshing, revitalizing. Closing his eyes, the liquid washed over his face as his hand slowly brushed over it, taking one last moment to revel in this time to himself. And then he reached to turn off the faucet, turned from the small sectioned space that accompanied others like it and left it, grabbing a cold, dry towel as another man took his place to bathe.
Wrapping himself around the waist with the white cloth, Miller headed to the sinks to do his routine hygiene when another man bumped into his right arm, causing both to look defensive at once until they realized who the other one was.
"Hey, dude... sorry about that..." Brad put a hand up slightly in response to Miller's quick reflex to almost explode on the person. Brad himself also had this look but when it came to a few here, including Miller, he didn't want bad blood. And not that Brad had any preconceptions of the serial killer beyond a couple rumors.
Miller eased and took a deep breath with a quickened nod, "It's fine... I should have been paying more attention." Indeed the killer would've went cold but he had been playing up Brad since they both met. To Miller, Brad seemed like the type that could put someone down but had a naive and probably 'heart of gold'. From the beginning Miller saw into this and practically befriended the imprisoned bounty hunter in hopes to weave him into the web of his game eventually-- as all here were bound to do.
Brad smiled a little and let his guard down, relieved that he didn't anger the other prisoner. Whatever rumors Brad had heard were questionable as Miller never gave any clues that he would act otherwise on someone. In fact, Brad merely dismissed most of these (which weren't many to begin with) because Miller just didn't seem like the type of person to live up to the rumors. Hell, even with Miller being in for killing a few people, Brad held some hope that this guy, like others, had really learned his lesson and had a change of heart about the choices he had made. After all, Miller seemed like an otherwise nice guy. "It's cool, man," Brad said with a friendlier look about himself. "What've you been up to?"
The serial killer moved back to the sink and took his shaving cream and lathered parts of his stubble, looking in the mirror back at Brad as the blonde-haired man began to also shave next to him. "Nothing, really. I think I may have a new love interest, though..."
"Found yourself a girl, huh?" Brad's mouth twisted to the side as his swirled his palm over the morning stubble on his cheek.
"She's a nurse. Really sweet girl. She's... inspiring."
Brad picked up his razor as he nodded and began to move the blade along his skin, drawing patches of missing shaving cream from his face. "But she's a staff member... How you planning on that working out?"
Shaving his own stubble in places as his eyes went back to the mirror, Miller responded coolly, "We just wouldn't let that detail become public. That's if she wanted us to become an item."
"Do you think she wants that?" Brad shook some of the shaving cream and hair fibers into the sink before dragging it across his face once more.
Miller didn't speak right away, not wanting Brad to know that he would manipulate the girl into doing so but also giving the impression that he didn't assume anything. "...I'm not completely sure yet. But I'm willing to wait and see what happens."
"Probably best..." Bradley continued to shave his jaw-line, the cheap shaver not getting as close to his skin as he would have preferred.
Continuing on his own, Miller glanced over curiously. "I remember you saying you had your eyes on someone here. Anything come of it?"
Brad's lip slanted into a slight grin to himself as he rinsed the shaver in the sink. "Uh... I guess so. I mean, it's not official or anything. I think it's just..." He shrugged as he moved to the other side of his face. "I don't know. We just flirt a whole hell of a lot."
"Who is she?"
"Someone you probably know. I think she's brought you up before... Uh, Mia...?"
Miller didn't show anything to the name, but in his head the gears began to turn instantly. "Yes, I know her. We're... good friends-- if you can call us that."
"Yeah?"
"Mmhmm. We speak often. A really interesting woman. You're lucky to find a girl like her."
Bradley nodded, finishing up just before Miller. "Well, I'll see ya around. Got to get over to the workshop after breakfast. Take it easy, man."
"You, too." Miller waited until Brad left, then finishing his wash-up, got dressed and headed out.
-asleep in the rec room drooling-
Seriously. Is there ANYTHING I can help you with or are you just here to piss me off?
I wasn't here to piss anyone off... but someone was here about to pester you. So I told him off and waited, making sure he wasn't going to return the moment I left.
-asleep in the rec room drooling-
Youre an annoying douchebag
Sticks and stones, sticks and stones. *sits back in his chair*
-asleep in the rec room drooling-
Wouldnt you have thought it better to bug off?
If you didn't want someone to bother you, you shoud've thought better of sleeping here.
-asleep in the rec room drooling-
-sits up and rubs his eyes yawning-
Wouldn't you have thought it be better to sleep in your bunk?
-asleep in the rec room drooling-
Can you quit staring at me please? Its creepy as fuck
*doesn't really look fazed*
Perhaps you shouldn't be sleeping in a public room.
-asleep in the rec room drooling-
-wakes up and jumps at the sight of him-
Jesus a little personal space?
I hadn't moved the chair. *dead pan stare*
Disappointment requires expectation.
