People know that the whole "don't portray [harmful action] because viewers might recreate it" thing is a rule for children's shows right? It's supposed to be shit like "don't show peppa pig playing with fire so we don't get sued if a kid watches it and burns their house down." Not like, fanfiction for adults.
prev i hope u dont mind me sharing ur tags bc yeah this is an interesting add on
Always the writer, never the reader.
Writers suffer from tinker bell brain they need constant applause or they start believing everything theyâve written is horseshit

Fall 2021 Books to Read
Fall 2021 Books to Read
When it comes to books, fall always seems the best time to cuddle up in a blanket with a cup of tea and just lose yourself in reading. No wonder, then, that my TBR for this season is larger than usual! Letâs take a look at what drew me in about this stack: Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo: Set with a university backdrop, this book boasts ghosts, magic, and secret societies to keep you on yourâŚ

Iâm new to this whole kindle thing, but boy has it helped me get through some books and get out of my reading slump!
Read Jane Eyre for the first time ever and I have some thoughts, SPOILERS BELOW:
.
.
.
So, I had Jane Eyreâs plot twist ruined for me when I was in college and we read Wide Sargasso Sea, which is written as a response and prequel to Jane Eyre.
Apparently I waited long enough to read the original because I forgot about the ending entirely and by the time I got to the reveal of the wife in the attic, I said to myself âOH! This is THAT book! This makes much more sense now.â This preserved my sense of suspense and confusion for a much longer time and probably a more enjoyable read.
In all, I liked it a lot. Since watching Crimson Peak Iâve been feeling some very Victorian era reads, and the bit of creep that came about due to the hidden and slightly murderous wife was a nice touch for fall.
Have you ever had a book âruinedâ for you and waited long enough that the twist came as a surprise when you finally did read it? Have you read Jane Eyre, Wide Sargasso Sea, or both, and what did you think? Which did you like better?

âYouâll draw the guards again with that racket, Ana.â Ryker said, crouched at the top of the alley wall like a dark bird of prey. His lips twisted into the barest of smiles, and Ana thought she might faint with relief then and there.
Theme: âLovely (feat. Charlotte Buchholz)â - Time, the Valuator
Thoughts: Good work block today fleshing out some scenes I have already written. Most of the book is already written from this point forward, and it's just brushing off the dust to find the truer words beneath.

Either it was the worst string of luck sheâd ever experienced, or Ryker was methodically ruining her.
Theme: âThe Art of Eye Contactâ - Too Close to Touch
Thoughts: Quick writing sesh that was actually pretty productive! Got some mid-scenes done and I can finally get started on the end sequence.
It's happening!

He sent out his seeking shadows and ruined all their hard work. Bags of grain frayed and spilled out onto the sand, every scrap of leather and tack gnawed near to breaking, each and every canteen and barrel pierced and leaking lifesaving water onto the dirt.
Theme: âNerveâ - Myka, Relocate
Thoughts: Spent some time today figuring out the next part of my timeline for this WIP, then wrote a short scene about destruction of property. :D

âIs there any word of what this magic does?â
âOh, makes a man crazy, so they say. Quiet and calm and frightninâ as if heâs sleepwalkinâ.â
Theme: âWhat a Shameâ - Too Close to Touch
Thoughts: Finally, a rest for the party, and for myself. We're looking at the home stretch of this WIP and I'm not quite sure what to do with myself!

Gods damn that little ice princess.
Zaria surveyed the wreckage of the camp of menâher menâall dead.
It didnât matter that she had barely known their names, or that she hadnât wanted to work with them in the first place. Sheâd taken them under her wing at Solisâ request, and so sheâd taken responsibility for them. And no one, no one, deserved to die at the fangs of a werewolf.
Theme: âFalling Apartâ - Caskets
Thoughts: A fun little Zaria scene. I love my little wolf hunter, even though she wants to kill off all my pretty wolves. Maybe someone will change her mind? Yeah, right.

They were dark and dripping, doglike, with eyes that reflected red when the light hit right.
Theme: âFollow Youâ - Bring Me The Horizon
Thoughts: Introduced a fun new monster today in my story, and another tense swampy scene. Fun and happy writing days, I can't get enough of them!
