Klaus, Netflix movie 2019. Directed by Sergio Pablos at the SPA studios Art direction : Marcin Jakubowski & Szymon Biernacki Here some Layout and Backgrounds from the Chase sequence. It was a hard but fun sequence to do. Few month before the deadline of the production, this sequence was kind of a mistery for the team and the production because it was considered too hard to do in 2D so they were planning to do it in CG. Were were running out of time and money so they decide to give a try in 2D. I worked on this sequence with @clementdartigues, we both have a CG background and we started to create 2D layout based on a 3D previz. It was very chalenging but with a lot of work we manage to recreate almost the sames shots, creating so many 2D layers to recreate a fake 3D.
