Spurs Locker Room Tensions Rise as Kinsky Struggles and Tudor Faces Sack Pressure
According to Sky Sports senior reporter Michael Bridge, tensions inside the Tottenham Hotspur dressing room are extremely high following the team’s heavy 5–2 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. The loss also marked Spurs’ fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions under manager Igor Tudor.
The main controversy surrounds Tudor’s decision to start backup goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky ahead of first-choice keeper Guglielmo Vicario in such an important แทงบอลเต็ง match. The 22-year-old goalkeeper made two costly errors that led to early goals for Atletico before being substituted after just 16 minutes, leaving teammates visibly shaken.
Bridge reported that Kinsky was seen in tears in the stadium tunnel after being taken off, with teammates Joao Palhinha and Conor Gallagher quickly going over to comfort him. Several players were reportedly unhappy with Tudor’s handling of the situation, as the Croatian coach was perceived to show little support or encouragement toward the young goalkeeper.
Questions have also been raised about the role of team captain Cristian Romero after footage appeared to show him signaling to Tudor to substitute Kinsky. However, the Spurs manager denied the claim during his post-match press conference.
Sky Sports believes the defeat has caused damage on several fronts — including the team’s on-field performance, player morale, and the overall dressing room atmosphere. Tudor’s future at the club is now increasingly uncertain, especially since he was appointed to stabilize the team but has overseen a worsening run of results.
Meanwhile, speculation intensified after a licensed betting company reportedly removed Tudor’s name from the market for the next Premier League manager to be sacked, a move widely interpreted as a sign that his dismissal could be imminent.
