The purpose of these explosions seem to be to get you to admit your unexpressed hatred, but their real function is to get you to prove your love. People who explode in this way are often extremely distrustful and suspicious. They continually examine the behavior of others for signs of independent thinking, which to them is the first step on the road to betrayal.

It's not because of your appearance. It's because your appearance makes it obvious that you make bad decisions. I don't want to work with someone who makes bad decisions.
I don't really care what you decided to do about your appearance, if that was the only issue. But I do care about the hundreds of work related decisions you will be making every day. Your brain decided that disfiguring your face was a good idea. I don't want that brain to make any decisions that would directly affect me and my team.
